Get some 30-40 oz hard plastic cups. Drill holes in the bottom of cup 1 and put it into cup 2. Use decent soil and if you can, put a layer of silica rocks at the bottom of cup 1. Use low light ~30watts per square foot 6500k bulb. You shouldnt really need to do much for weeks, just water once and a while until the roots start growing into cup 2. Adding water to cup 2 will act as a resevoir and a little hygrozyme will help the roots from slimeing. You can forget about them for a few more weeks. It makes it quite low maintenance on the watering. After a couple months it will be pretty root bound. When soil is dry cut the roots and take it out to transplant, cut the silica rocks out and clean them up for reuse. The rocks help make the plant stalkier and aids in controlling the sativa dominant plants. Shake and tap the rootball and try to get it reduced in size a good bit so it will fit back in cup 1 with the rocks and new soil. If you ever screw up and forget to water and you fear the plant may die upon transplant, just fill cup 2 with soil and let it recover enough to get a new clone/mom. You can punch little holes around the rim of the cup and tie it down training it the way you want it to look. Dont forget about fimming, topping and bending. Only use very dilute nutes once a month or so. Calmag plus and a bloom fert like 3-5-7 at 1/4 strength.
