Inline fan placement?

Hey guys


I bought my first inline fan yesterday, and I'm wondering where I should place it in my room. The room is 5x5x8. It's a 400CFM inline fan...should I put it close to the HPS, or at the top of the room?


With 400 CFM, is active intake a must, or will passive vents be ok? Thanks!

Well its for heat control for now, as my clones are only 10 days old. But in 3 weeks it'll be a combination of heat and smell

then if u can make a air intake down low somewhere u can run a filter on the light and pull threw it blow'n the air out the room, and suckn cooler air in from a low intake.
