Inline fan to filter reducer

Would there be any issues with a 6in fan and using a reducer to connect it to a 4in filter?I plan having a speed controller of course, and maybe even a silencer connected also to help dumb down the pressure.

New at this,help me out asap please.

ty.Should i keep the duct at 6in by sizing back up after the 4in filter or just keep it simple with 6in fan,4in filter,4in duct?

Yes, keep the duct at 6" if possible.
