Intake Filter

What's up farmers!? Looking to invest in an intake filter and was wondering if I could just use a car filter. They look like they're designed exactly the same for a fraction of the cost. Thoughts?

I've wrapped HEPA filters over duct fittings before, but personally....I like the Dust Shrooms. I can rinse them off and treat them with their oil.

Sure can use them... its not hepa but it still traps a lot of crap.

Or you can use two of these found in the painting aisle at walmart and an empty oatmeal can or coffee can with the bottom cut off with polyfil on the inside with the green scrubber pads hot glued on each end if youre crafty.

Hey I have one of these that my buddy was using on his 5th cool tube. I was wondering why he gave it to me. Can this be used in place of a carbon filter to kill smell?

You can however buy activated charcoal and make your own.

I think k&n makes both the phresh and the phat intake filters and maybe the dust shrooms too or something that looks alot like them,didn't see any big carbon filters at all.
