really?! HG recommends great white (since we can't by there similar product in the states) your reference to being more concentrate then them is why i checked in.. I am getting ready work with a tea receipt for myco's too (http://www.invalid.com/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-dwc-root-slime-cure-aka.html).. so that fact your saying this is a no go, makes me rethink the whole plan..

thanks for the info

great white also has many good bacteria and beneficial fungi, which the root pack has, except the root pack is about 18,000x more concentrated and about a third of the price. It also has things like photosynthetic bacteria and streptomyces spp. that great white does not.

For straight hydro I recommend the root pack. When I say straight hydro I mean aeroponics, hydroton ebb/flo, NFT.. etc..

If you are using and reusing your coco (Soil less and still considered hydro), then the mycos would be beneficial. They also once established can reduce the need for watering and help with drought stress, so if you miss a watering you would have more time before the dreaded wilting point to realize you fucked up and water your girls. IMHO.

Is the root pack great for stimulating root growth for fast growing plants? Im in low pressure aero and looking for an alternative to Rapid Start, etc. I run Jack's.

Thanks!

Mycorrhiza are not really compatible with hydro settings, except IMHO coco that you are reusing crop after crop.

They take a few weeks to establish, will rob your plants of carbs due to the fact that in hydro all the nutes are readily available. They are bad for high P environments. Anything over 50 elemental ppm P and you start to see the colonies slowing.

Also, is this true, that it's not really compatible with hydro? You stated above that the root pack is good in aero, hydro, etc. Just hoping for some clarification. Thanks!

The root pack has no mycos. The nute pack does. Running in aero you will need to strain solution or skim off top before adding to res. Otherwise the sediment may clog nozzles.

There is a plethora of products to sift through and if anyone has a working experience w/ every last one of them, I haven't met them yet. When compatibility and comparison questions are being asked, it would be much more useful (and fair) to familiarize everyone w/ the product/s. For instance, if GreatWhite or RapidStart are pertinent to the discussion, most of us would appreciate seeing the same analytics applied to GW, RapidStart, "Mycoworker", "My Favorite Microbe" et al , that are being requested of Cap relative to his products.
If value judgments are being made, I'd like to see equal time being given to the analysis of all of the products being brought into the discussion. (I'm not sure what the thread starter wants, so this is definitely IMHO, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the management.) :thinking

While I'm at it...
It is helpful, and in some situations, considered ethical, to frame and construct a question in a manner that reflects the knowledge and experience level of the questioner. A little thoughtfulness and effort can save a lot of guesswork confusion and misunderstanding. Again My2p

Gee... I don't think I made any personal attacks or said something that could offend or piss anybody off.:worried

Your products sound great. How does your nute and or root pack compare to Primordial Solutions- Sea Green? Does it breakdown organic and or chemical ferts and allow one to feed at almost double the reccomended dose? I have recently started using Sea Green with amazing results, however I would much rather buy from you if we are comparing apples here. I am using super soil and running the Fox Farms line up @1.5x strength (headed to 2x) with Sea Green @ 1-1.5 ml/gallon. I am also using the Sea Green in straight super soil, and in super soil with BMO nutes @2x strength going to 3x. No burn issues with either system.
Thanks

I am not familiar with that product but I will look in to it.

EDIT: Seagreen is compost tea in a bottle. Lots of good bacteria in there, but they won't say what due to labeling reasons. It is a liquid, not a powder. From what I gather it is a very good product. It is not apples to apples. Dry vs. liquid. If youw ant I can send you a sample and you can try some.

It doesnt make sense to use 3x the nutes IMHO because the plant only needs so much. The bacteria are breaking down salts and converting them to usable plant forms, but that does not mean the plant is actually taking it up. Have you tried using LESS nutes and testing how the plants did?

Thanks for the quick reply. Most people are not familiar with the Sea Green product. While reading the list of ingredients of your packs, it sounded very similar to the Sea Green description on their site, but at a much better price and in powder form. Good point on the amount of nutes, just because they aren't burning doesn't mean the plant is using all i'm adding. I am running one with only super soil and SG and one super soil with water only.

Liquids smell bad, thats why I like powder. I opened microelifes new product teh other day and almost gagged my face off. Smelled like someone took a shit on the floor and tried to mop it up with a dead body.

No thanks.

Yeah, it reminded me of the time a bottle of iguana juice exploded in my face when I opened it while squeezing the bottel by accident...

You have no idea about how satisfying it is for me to see a guy w/ the white hat catch the ring and be on his way! Fuckin' a man! This makes up for a few.
