I noticed some dry spots and cut out what looks like a type of bud rot or mold. My dry leaves were dry from the tip and the center of the buds seem okay. Is it worth drying out what I have pictured?

The buds with it in is a no, even some close by may get infected real fast and become a waste. My only suggestion is chop it and salvage what you can. If its in your bud its done.

Got some of my colas outdoors this year, bud rot sucks. Outside not much you can do either

I had a gorilla grow in my field 10 years ago. 14 beautiful flowering females. I spent an hour each morning shaking the dew out of those giant colas until mid-October. This was in PA so fall means cool, wet weather. I only lost like a quarter pound to mold thanks to all my efforts.

I likewise shake mine, this year has been rough. I live in between the finger lakes on top of a hill, both lakes i am in between are really close too. Last year I shook buds and they made it, usually do. But this year everyone I know has issues already. People in Cali having issues this year, even a cali breeders was saying they lost an acre to mold this year

Thanks for the replies. I’ll go into damage control and hope for the best.

I've saved buds in the past using a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol (91%) and pure 0ppm RO water. Spray infected areas liberally. Not the best for your trichomes and terps, but it does work. Also, I wouldn't do this for any buds I was intending to sell or give away. Only for personal stash. Otherwise, to the garbage, batman!

You can always make oil and use it as a transdermal...if you're after the medical effects.
