Is growing cannabis fun or what?

Hi All-
I recently started to grow indoors. I have a medical condition- restless leg syndrome and it is the worst thing to experience. I tried every drug the Dr. could think of over 25 years and nothing worked except opioids. Fuck that.
So a friend of mine light up a joint at our party and I got stoned and slept like a baby!
I grew a batch of Granddaddy Purple and had a hell of a time. Fungus gnats from Fox Farms soil, and an infestation of white flies.
Plants didn’t produce much but THC was 22%.
The roots were not healthy and were a fraction of what they should have been. Fungus gnat damage,
So this new batch I’m growing is a Bruce Banner 3 photoperiod. and I’m going to share my issue. I had a three way splitter for the extension cords inside the tent and the red LED light on it screwed up the flowering stage and caused an extra long flowering time!
Who would have thought a SMALL LED light would have an impact on flowering!

So, third times a charm y’all!
I love GDP, Blue Face, & Wedding Cake.
They all give me a libido boost and enhance sex!
At 70, I’ll take any edge I can get!
Any other suggestions for a great high to sleep with?

Forget a small led light. Little indicator lights have an impact.

Strain doesn't have as much to do with growing as auto, fem, or reg plants. Then there's indoor and outdoor. Then for indoor there's the type of light used, the type and variety of nutrients, watering, growing in earth, coco, hydro ...

Lots to play with and growing is a hobby that gives back.

I use to get horrible muscle spasms in my legs and started making and using tincture (alcohol extract) from GDP and a few others. Took care of the problem.

For sleep I make coconut oil extract and put in 00 caps and make brownies or cookies.

Sounds like you need to learn about IPM (Integrated Pest Management) to maximize your grow and make this really worth your time and effort.

Nothing like growing your own medicine AND aphrodisiacs

It IS such a blast, to both grow and consume. I'll be 70 in a few months and there are many of us 'oldsters' here on the farm. It's nice being retired and having lots of time to devote to the plants. Unfortunately they act more like teenagers and just want to be left alone. LOL

Sorry about your condition. I know a few people with that condition and theirs were caused by opioids. It seems as treating the symptoms with the cause is counter productive. Im glad the weed helps. A THC% of 22 is not bad for flower. In my opinion its not just about the THC but also the terpenes and other compounds in each strain. As for the fungus nats, at first sign treat with a soil drench (if growing in soil) of Mosquito bits. I grew some Bruce Banner 2.0 and was not impressed although differant people like differant things. As for the small LED light, I agree you should cover with black electrical tape. Its amazing how many things have one. I use two small humidifiers in my 4x4 tent and they both had one as well as the 24 hour timer and a splitter/surge protector.

If sleep is what your after let your plant mature a little more for more during flowering to get more amber trichomes (about 15%).

Using weed is not all that addictive but growing weed is, LOL.

My libido is fine, if only I could get the wife to join in!

There's definitely something about putting a ring on their finger, that causes that.

I agree, using weed is totally addictive! These cannabis plants are sassy little shitz.
Hey, you should get a doctorate in growing weed. THC Farmer should do a certificate of “Cannabis PHD” for those who post and help out with very experienced comments.
What a hoot that would be to hang on the wall!

Cannabis growing is the first hobby I ever had that is saving me money.
And at 61 I have had some expensive hobbies.
For less than 2 grand I have a setup that replaces dispensary pot and has allowed me to dump the medical card that did nothing but add costs to using cannabis for medical reasons.
It is also a hobby that I have been unable to enjoy at a " high level of performance "
I did not expect I would struggle as much as I am with simple mistakes but at least they are new simple mistakes and not repeats.
I guess I am the equivalent of a framer carpenter.
I'm not the guy who does the finishing but my wall ain't gunna fall over.
I grow pot but it's never gunna be on a magazine cover.
