Is it possible to mount the driver for my mars hydro fc1500 outside of my grow tent?

Hi, I just purchased a mars hydro fc1500, and while it is much better and cooler temperature-wise than my old LED light, the driver does get quite hot. I would like to mount it outside the tent and run a new longer wire inside to the light. I'm sure it would nullify my warranty, but I don't care about that. Does any one have any experience doing this?

Bump. I'm sure someone does. I'm not familiar with Mars lights, but I know some lights are made so the driver can be relocated.
