Almost all my trichomes are cloudy and I have very few amber trichomes. Before everyone tells me I'm a newbie I will just come out and admit. I am a vegetable gardener who is experimenting with cannabis for the first time. I am curious if my plant is ready to harvest with almost 100% milky trichomes or if I should take a few more weeks to get more amber trichomes. I have been flushing for a week now and I may have started my flush too soon. Being new at this I feel overwhelmed by the information out there and the various opinions of different growers. Just looking for some feedback. Btw my plant is a Skittles strain. Only one plant in flower and I have pulled two successful clones from her. Many people say I have to wait but I don't want to go off a few opinions of unseasoned growers only.

Personally I would let her go for a bit. I grow in Mich. and it's always a challenge to get mature plants this time of year. Right now we are having an Indian summer. Temps yesterday got to 79 but we have also had several small frosts. I like to get about 10% amber. I don't always get what I want. I have harvested a couple that were early to flower and now a couple are close. Three look great but have a ways to go that know I will not get them as mature as I like.
The best advice is to educate yourself as to what to look for in maturity and try and maneuver your grow to get their. Every year has its own peaks and valleys.

Good luck!
