i hope you see this..

Gnatrol

get gnatrol its super awesome good you spray it on the plants and a fungus in gnatrol kills your gnats if they eat it so you spray the first 2 inches of your soil or medium never done it with hydro ballz

peace

its the real deal theres alot of bullshit out there but i havent seen 1 gnat on what ever pot i spray this stuff on and its can go on the leaves

yep 20north that stuff works excellent too:nod

They no longer sell gnatrol in cali.

GTD have you figured out the ratio of the dunks?

Imagine a bucket the top is covered with a netting, the stalk coming thru the netting(held closed with velcro anround the stalk. Nothing can get into your root system.

hey there JK>>>I still see gnatrol at my local hydro shops maybe its just the leftover stock.
the mosquito dunks i moreless chop 1 dunk into 4 equal chunks>>>2 per pantyhoe:giggle I leave it in my 2 100 gallon reservoir untill its all disovled up and need to replace with more chunks last quite awhile roughly a month:) none of them lil fuckers are flying around my grow.

How long should it dangle in the rez? I don't want to let too much of that stuff dissolve...

No worries on the plants superbaby I have seen no problems. Shmoe showed me this method a while back>>>man is a genius.

They sell Mosquito Dunks at Lowes/Home Depot/Whatever near the OFF! and other mosquito repellents. You can put one in a pair of pantyhose and dangle it in your reservoir to keep the solids from clogging your hydro, or crush them up and mix them with soil. I believe it contains the same species-specific bacterial toxin as Gnatrol (Bacillus thuringiensis), but you get 6 of them for like 5 bucks...

I break the pucks up and use it in my planting pots when transplanting.

I also use a new product from the same maker (I think?)of the dunks. It is a little black fish shaped product that does'nt fall apart so, I use it in my rez. No more fungus gnats and more importantly no more mosquito larvae that live off hour roots.

Gnatrol can not be sold in cali. I think it should have a long shelf life though. I think it was a labeling problem. JK

I'm pretty sure it's still avail in CA. Liquid Gnatrol shelf life 1 year. Granules 2 years.

I'm pretty sure they stopped selling the liquid form of Gnatrol in Cali and now sell it in powder form. That's what they had at Green Coast last time i was there. There is also a product called Gonats thats a cedar based product for killing fungas knat larvae. I'm trying it out right now along with some pyrethrum bombs to kill the adults and will let you know if it works.

My gnats are Azamax resistant. I have heard Bayer Advanced Insect Control is good. Does anyone know how much to mix for a watering application? It says 1/2 oz per gallon for foliar spray. Can't find out how much to mix for watering?

All those Bayer products are nasty shit... fungus gnats are easy to get rid of with organic options, so why would you use nasty poisons??
