is this blackwater???

hello everyone,
i got a few babies from a friend and he made up his own name for this strain, but after doing a little research to find out what strain this really is, i thought that this might be blackwater. the buds started turning purple in week2 of flowering and wasnt temperature dependant. as you can see, all the buds are a dark purple, almost black and when you crack the buds they are a bright deep purple.

these plants grew tall like a sat dom hybrid and smaller nugs like og, and finished in about 8 weeks. what do you guys think it may be? thanks for any help!

thanks for the comments guys. as far as taste and smell, the smell is kind of a grape pledge smell if that makes any sense and there is that distinct kush taste, as well as a fruity taste. i am 100% positive this isnt gdp because it grew waaay too tall and smaller kolas. plus it smells, taste and hits nothing like gdp. this strain has a real energetic high (harvested at roughly 40% amber trichs).

i am pretty sure this is some kind of mendo purps x with some kind of og, so it might be pretty close to some blackwater but i have never seen finished blackwater pics so i cant tell for sure. any other comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
