same strain?2 plants shown.
Both same strain, nutrients, water, everything.
Plant on right is yellowing, left is not.
A lot of rain recently and the area of the yard where the right plant is located is wetter.
Any thoughts?

The right one could benefit from a Nitrogen rich organic fertilizer amendment for sureYes they are both the same strain:
Gelato Cake.
They were all the same colour til recent heavy rain, now have are still dark green and half yellowish as shown in pic.
Any thoughts as to why the one on the right side of picture is so yellow comparatively ?
One need more food, maybe that side got more leached with rain?But...
Both plants got equal nutrients and only one yellowed.
Also it yellowed right after heavy rain and over the course of just 2 days ?!
those are too close for comfort.. mildew or pest than what?Clones
I sprinkle organic nutrients on top (seabird guano and Longbeinite) and water them in with tap water that has molasses added to it.
Then the rain leeches it in more, slowly.
They get plenty of phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sulphur but no nitrogen although I do top dress with earthworm castings.
This is how they looked right BEFORE I added more nutrients, also right before the heavy rainfall.

You could. I do it, but I do it gradually. It probably would help to clean out the center of the plant to improve air flow. That plant has had plenty of stress, though, so maybe it would be best to let it heal before defoliating.Should I start pulling off the fan leaves now? They are 4-5 weeks from finish.
No doubt indeed. It looks like the damage is below ground level, which makes it more complicated. There's a good chance disease from the soil could get into the plant. Maybe you could remove some soil and tape around the broken part. This one no doubt was hurt when it fell over as shown. Probably had trouble after that with uptake.
told ya they were too close for comfort..the sick plant has not made it.
Now the other plants are having a problem.
they have white spots on the leaves which appear to be powdery mildew.
It hasnt rained in two weeks. There has been warm temperatures with mildly cooler nights, low humidity and near constant light breeze. They have not been over-watered.
In the past I have seen these spots come and go without problem.
This time the leaves seem to be suffering.
Two questions:
1. Can this spread to the buds ?
2. Even if not, can this condition on the leaves effect in any way how the buds finish (potency, time, taste, etc.) ?View attachment 2050167View attachment 2050168View attachment 2050169View attachment 2050170

Moving forward and thinking about treatment I understand that baking soda should clear up the problem but am concerned because the buds will of course also get wet with the water/soda mix.
More questions:
1. is it even safe to smoke a bud that has been saturated with baking soda ?
2. If not, will this treatment effect the way the bud finishes (harm the pistils, decrease potency/resin, effect how long they take to finish, change the taste, etc.) ?
3. Is it better just to remove all the leaves since they are no longer really needed and should be at least somewhat removed anyway as the plants will breathe better, etc. ?
The pistils are still quite white and I`d say still have 2 weeks to go.
That being said, they still don`t have the amount of resin I`m used to at this point and VERY little scent.
