I transplanted at that size and it worked great. I moved up to a 1.5 gallon and then the final transplant into a 7 gallon. Idk about autos bc mine is photo. I cant see an issue with transplanting. Once you do make sure to water well so all medium is moist. A week after transplant for feeding shouldnt be too bad. I added a compost tea 2 days after transplant into the 1.5 gallon. Roots looked amazing each time.

If you are using distilled water I would think you'll need to start on light nutes. I'd go 1ml/1ml/1ml / gallon with my GH 3 part system. I my self at this point would have already fed them 1/4/1/4/1/4 / gal Micro/grow/bloom... you'll see them going yellow on the bottom leaves if they're too wet for too & if they don't get enough food...lime green under fed ..dark green over fed is how I look at it.
