Is using kelp products reason for getting brown algae in RDWC?

So did a lil reading and well when you look up brown algae on wikipedia you get seaweed

So was the source of my own demise from useing Sea Fuel Bloom foliar dripping off the leaves and through the hydroton into my system.

Sea fuel contains Durvillaea is a genus of brown algae

algea (like plants) need light to grow
