Hey guys,
I suspect PH problems based on the upper leaves, one is smaller than the other. Also could be stressed cause I accidentelly damaged one root, while changing position of plant in hydroton.
Heres how that setup I ve is done.
- germination around 3-5 days
1. soaking 24h in peroxide (1:4) and got small tap root already, after presoaked in 5.8ph with myco for 3-4h, then paper towel with same water as was myco to get bigger tap root. So sum 2 days +/-
2. MISTAKE NUMBER 1: I ve used root riot, which stunned plant a lot but germinated in 4-5th day, next day it went into hydroton.
- in hydroton MISTAKE NUMBER 2: well, didnt add enough water, which would cover 1cm above net pot and root riot plug was too high, so had to change later and put hydroton at the bottom of net pot and add lil bit of more water but that happen in like second week.
- I ve used advanced hydroponics nutrients cause I didnt wanna dump it as it was bought 2-3 years ago. Added root stimulator and enzymes (organics), blackjak (organic), silica. Shouldnt be an issue althought it was creating foam, smell normal but never ever cause it change PH a lot. So MISTAKE NUMBER 3: organics.
SUM: 400ppm, temp of water 22C, ph trying to have between 5.5 - 6.2 but sometimes after a 4-5 days it gets to 6.4ph.
Water still didnt wanna change and its in hydroton already 19th day. Roots last time I ve checked still didnt breach net pot :D
Light cycle 18/6, its auto strain, RDWC every 45m recirculating 15m, RH isnt as high and fluctuate between 50-65, temp 18-23/24C of air.
I should use smaller net pots for sure and prolly go rather for HPA - not misting setup but droplets around 50-80 microns, not that good for germinating, cloning.
So, I am contemplating to start over, any thoughts?
