They are better because they put out more lumens per watt. Which leads to them yielding more per watt than any other lighting right now. They're also over double the cost up front, but they should last 5 years plus without replacing bulbs @ 100 dollars a piece. Factor in long term cost in electric, A/C cost, and the nug quality. Cobs win for me at least.

That video would have been nice to see with the 1150. But I believe the LED came out more than 15% ahead in efficiency. So while you could run 1150. You could run a little more LED and still come out ahead.

I get a little over 3 per 1ooo watts. Realstyles is probably doing a lot better than that!

edit: for reference I used to average 1.5 with HPS
