...and they've made me so proud thus far.
I got these clones from a highly stressed mother with severe nitrogen toxicity that was over 3 weeks into flower in a damp basement with little air circulation.
When I cut them, they had to stay in a zip lock bag for over 2 hours until I could get them into any medium.
I've taken care of these girls the only way I knew how: Jiffy pellets in a jiffy humidity dome next to a nice warm summer window sill and misting the dome twice a day for 14 days until the first one started rooting. I have been very gentle and patient with these girls as they were growing roots and reverting back into veg. Easing them into light schedules and taking extra time to ensure I don't stress them too much.
In other words, I've asked a lot from these girls. I've taken care of them as best as I could during this highly stressful time for them.
A little over 4 weeks later and the pay off of my patient and gentle care of them is finally seeing the first normal leaf growth. As you can see, they started out as little nitrogen toxified stressed out runts into happy plants finally showing what they're capable of. Over 4 long weeks of hyper-care. Today marks the first day I gave them a dose of nutrients and they're doing extremely well. Thinking about pruning some of the old reveg leaves but I still don't want to stress them out too much until they're well established.
This will be my first grow in over 10 years since my last grow. Some might be wondering why I went through all this trouble to begin with. Well, where I live we don't have dispensaries or any legal framework around these plants. That's probably the most polite way to say that. But that means seeds are tremendously difficult to get as you rarely can even get some bag seed.
The mother is indeed a bag seed plant. It's the only girl I could find and a lot was riding on the health of these girls as the person taking care of the mother doesn't know what he's doing even though I've explained how to care for these plants.
Either way, my tent should be here any day now. I'll be getting a 2-in-1 tent to set up my perpetual grow like I had over 10 years ago. Wish my girls luck. They'll need it.
