Having a hard time getting my phones to take close-ups. May need to break out the Pentax & 18-55mm lens. Need to get it out along with the tripod to get close cola shots. Might be able to get the top colas with the 300mm. Unfortunately my DSLR pics don't turn out well on the forum.

Thanks, and sorry for the delayed reply, have been locked out of my account for the past few days for some reason :(

Good deal, I have been thinking it over more and think I can come up with a good gravity fed system with a selectable dripper for each plant, the wheels will be churning this winter.

And yes, city water so I let it sit at least overnight to hopefully off gas and chlorine that’s in it, and I let my giants and such sit for a day or two, per instruction on the box, do t know if not helps or not, not using a bubbler.

Girls are looking good!

Yeah, I got kinda locked out the other day. Had to give the site a new email.

Oh, I've got some ideas. Had money rollin in last year but had to put most everything on hold when it dried up.

Want to build a fully automated solar hydro system. Running on PC and Raspberry Pii3's or Arduino boards. Both have every kind of sensor and control you can think of, Ph, water, temps, CO2, O2, light, etc... Found free or low cost software and designs online. Started a thread with my ideas but let it go for the time being to focus on buying my new truck & 5th wheel. If I can resurrect my micro co-op this season might be able to get back on track. Still need to finish my second VR computer and want to get one of those Nvidia RTX boards. Missed my window on a second 6850k on the cheap too, $380 back up to $650. Hope things turn back around this season. Too many unfinished/non-starter projects.

Grow Log 9/22/18

Lost another branch on the Banana Ice Cream #2. I suspect it is probably the last now that all of the larger limbs are supported. That is unless she's more brittle than I think and starts dropping much smaller branches.

Some interior pics from the garden I took while watering.

I can't barely see the top of BIC#2 from the middle of the garden.

Even the tiny Idunnoes flowers have begun to senesce.

The rest are well on their way. The colas are looking thinner from the stigma shriveling, at the same time the calyx have begun to swell.

I hate using technical terms it sounds so pretentious. Much rather refer to stigma as hairs, calyx as bracts (though I think also technically correct but maybe more so when fertilised), and senesce as die back, but I think it behooves us to use a smattering of proper terminology for the benefit of new growers. When I first joined the forum I had no clue what anything is called and was subjected to words like nutes, nanners, beans, along with an abbreviation for everything under the sun, or growlight. We are a very descriptive bunch and our lingo/shorthand is actually quite good. We can convey paragraphs of information in a couple short sentences. That being said, it's a b*tch for a beginner to keep up with and near impossible to cross reference with any technical growing guide. I post to my grow diary mostly to entertain and encourage, both you and I, but also to educate newcomers. I post a lot of pictures because I like photography, I don't want to write a thousand words, and it was what I was most looking for as a new grower. I am hardly an expert but I've learned so much over the last year and a half I want our new growers to enjoy it just as much or more. Now back to my regularly scheduled grunts and growls.

The little ones have hardened off. I lowered the 67w light and turned up the 200w to 70% and they took off. They are very happy with leaves lifted high. Even started to stretch a bit so I lowered the lights a little more. Will see if the flatten out tomorrow. I'll make sure they stay stout.

Looking good out here Junk. They are doing a good job holding on to the N which is awesome. The seedlings look like they are having a great time as well. :smoking: Those peat pots sure are nifty.

Thanks brother, you're girls look fantastic too. I doubled their dose of Tiger Bloom to run em out longer. I backed off again when they began to get that dark green blue hue.

Yeah, the peat pots have worked out nicely. They did remove the up-planting stress. hope the roots spread evenly.

Hey SJ!
Did you cut the bottom of the peat pots or will they break down over the next couple weeks?
Looking great man!!

Stuck them in the ground "as is". They soften when they are put in wet soil and roots cut right through the wall as if it were soft peat in soil mix.

I don't know about root distribution. I figure it's similar to how smartpots air prune and cause branching and spreading instead of wrapping and binding.
