You're trying to replicate nature (perhaps with a little modification), so seedlings need light. They can handle full sun, so I see no issue whatsoever with using a 600W at full power outside energy costs. Expect the seedlings to get 'leggy', that is to say they'll stretch and fall over. Leave 'em alone, they WILL right themselves, guaranteed (as long as the media is suitable--see the mention above regarding flushing coco coir).
Beyond that, don't over-love them (which means don't water them too much, although that's tough to do with new seedlings IME).
They know what to do, right now your job is to get out of the way and let them do it. :)
