I had this handy of a late stage plant near time to pull. so some is simply age but the tip burn makes me think at some point it was over feed...I'll put some more up in a bitPlease give us a full plant shot so we can see how pervasive this is?
If they are all old lowers, this may be a survivable problem.
I'd like to see a shot of this in an early stage.
What strains are you runnin? My girls like ph around 5.8-6.2 ish and I'm using tap, but what @ShroomKing said sounds legit. Have any of your whole nutrient/water mixes been cloudy after mixing? Some nute combos don't mix well and lock each other out, read that somewhere, I'll see if I can find the page again.Wow thanks everyone for your valuable time, i really appreciate you experts help !
It seems to affect the older fan leaves first. But then even the new leaves in the buds will start to do it as well.
It affect all the strains I have mainly the same. I get some of this in Veg as well so fel it maybe a common problem in my water mix up.
I have tried just adding only 4-5 ml cal mag to my R/O water and feeding that only as a way of letting them settle out ?? Maybe recover a bit ...Just grasping I guess.
I was always told to back off and go easy if you see trouble. So i have been mixing less nutes for feeding and less cal-mag in both watering and feeding cycles. In other word easing up...maybe that is wrong..I just don't know
I'm from Canada so the products are not familiar to everyone...I put the links to them here.
Nutes I use are
DNF Formula for Bloom part A & B and in veg the Part A & B
DNF Bloom fortifier and veg fortifier in veg
Or Monster Bloom instead of the DNF bloom fortifier
Cal- mag
I was also using Super Thrive but it has become unavailable here so switched to this.
Aussie tonic. It's supposed to be the same as Super Thrive
I was using this as well but have backed off in an effort to simplify things
Dense
Those are basically my nutes and I use some Carbo sweeter product lightly that acts as mollasses would I assume ??
DNF Carbo Logic
So basically Start with Ro at 0 TDS and after adding
DNF part A & B
DNF Bloom fortifier
Cal- mag @ 5 ml per gallon/litre
DNF Carbo logic
I end up at 700-800 TDS
Oh ya and always PH it all to 6.5%
Hey Jay ...thanks broDid your plants ever have def symptoms of cal-mag or did you just add it cuz the guy at the hydroshop told you that you needed it? I fell for that once and added cal-mag and started to get tip burn right away. I was using Advanced nutes at the time and their website specifically says not to use cal-mag supplementation. With your girls in veg I would flush to get a fresh start and let the plants tell you what they need. I think its salt build up coupled with def due to lockout. If they didn't need cal-mag then it is building up in the medium as would anything else they don't use up. I would just start with checking those ppms in your run off and go from there. Lots of good info here so don't be confused just find a starting point. If I was to spray anything on the plants I would go with that RO tap water mix till you check the ppms.
Help Seamaden...I know she is so very helpful....Maybe she will see this and set me straight@Seamaiden @Capulator rescue him please
Well about 10 different strains. I do find that the next day after mixing the nutes I get a white foam floating on the water and the air stones clog and need to be wiped off. What strains are you runnin? Thanks JayBe back in a few gotta go work. Hopefully someone will chime in read the link I posted. Peace bro
