Ya dude I can't wait to set up a system. It's going to be integrated into the setup. I won't be pulling it out that way I can put up the screen so the plants won't move until harvest. I'm going to try and see If I can get one and install it during this grow, but If not I may have to try stakes or something.

Nice bro. I feel like if you have the screen in the tent all the time and just let the plants grow into it, it will really help in making your grows really consistent. Like, you just wait to flower until they reach the screen or something. No guessing, ya know? Good idea mayn.

What an awesome thread, justice. Great documentation... I cant say I read the whole thing, but skimming through it was like watching the training montage from "Karate Kid" lmao.

If i remember correctly, you only had to feed your plants once with the super soil which sounds as though it was very successful. How well do you think it would work indoors with smaller pots/plants?
Well I didn't have to feed for about the first 60 days, but after that I did end up feeding with OMRI listed Pura Vida.

I think It would work quite well with indoors. depending on the size of the pot and plant the SS could provide nutrients longer then 60 days. For instance I have 5 gal Smart Pots, but if they were 7gal I probably could have gone longer without feeding, or one can up the strength of the soil, but that comes with the risk of burning the plants. I mixed half SS in the bottom and half OF in the top area of the pot.

But ya it should work just fine indoors.

Ya I just ordered the drip manifold yesterday, so I can't wait to hopefully set it up soon and even possibly rectify my unruly canopy with a screen. What I like about the screen is If I decide to run different strains it will help me with managing the ones that stretchc more during flower.

Hey thanks FoCo! I like the analogy of the Karate Kid haha. I wouldn't say I'm at black belt level yet but I will say that I think I've come a long way since the start.

Love the Chem, and I love your fat girls.

Thanks Maton. I also like chem a lot as well

Outdoor Flower Update
Hey everyone so It's week 10 and we are still rocking. I haven't harvested quite yet except for a few broken branches here and there. The Chems and one Head band look like they could go to week 11 possibly, but the other Head Band, and both Casey Jones Look like they should come down maybe tomorrow or the day after. I'm really liking how the Casey Jones is turning purple on some of the calyx tips.

I know I have some massive lean going right now. I've tried my best with what I have to help prop them up(string and weight supports). I have evelnindividually strung side branches to he main stocked so some of the plants look like they have a spider web of support ties haha. Next time I may have to incorporate some type of outdoor mega trellis.

They have been receiving PURE R/O water for the last 19 days so far.

Here are some shots for ya.

Thanks shady! That suggestion about the outdoor scrog was a great idea and If I had done it It would have saved me some trouble this season. Haha and I thought it was a crazy idea. Such foolishness. I stand corrected. You see I still havn't mastered my Kido yet. One day I will.

Ya man I just got my drip manifold in so I plan to try and set it up real soon and hopefully fix my unruly canopy with a screen as well. I'm thinking screens are going to be a requirement for my grows from now on.

6 weeks longer haha. If I let them go that long they are going to be brown and dead haha. It's already been almost 11 weeks of flower. I want to see that Sage n
Sour go for 17 weeks. That's definitely the flowering time for SnS. 119 day flower period FTW Supa!;)

Dude I can double backflip, karate mind chop my plants down. Even If I just think about it hard enough my branches chop themselves:character0004:

Outdoor Harvest Shots

Alright guys so I harvested the outdoor earlier this week. The Chem got cut at day 77. The Casey Jones day 78 and the Head Band day 79. I would have grabbed them all on day 77 but it was too much work so I decided to space it out over a few days. Here are some shots of the drying nuggets.

A few Straggler branches that couldn't fit in the main area. They consist of mostly day 65-70 Head Band branches as well as a few Casey Jones branches that broke off plus a couple day 79's that couldn't fit
http://i1014.invalid.com/albums/af261/fatyfatkins/HB1-5.jpg

A few Head band nugs from the 65 day area I beleive.
http://i1014.invalid.com/albums/af261/fatyfatkins/HB-5.jpg

So that totals about roughly 1 row per plant. So i have about 6 rows worth as you can see on the pictures, plus a few extra branches and some paper bagged nugs. Hmm I wonder how much I got this time around

Right on shady I think I may indeed be close as I have jarred about half of the harvest so far and it seems to be looking like a double elbow indeed! I'll be sure to get some shots up for you most def. The nugs are looking quite prime!

yay yaeeey! congrats bro now for the cure :time:time:mad0223: lol
Indeed my man. A long cure will give these nugs the taste of quality and age.

Ay Sense right on man! It's good to know that my journal enough quality topics and such to pull in sub's so it can be referenced. Not a problem at all. I thank you for your appreciation and it's people like you that inspire me to continue with the journal.

Sorry buddy the seats are all taken by the ladies. Common etiquette my man! I'm thinking the indoor will probably be done in about 2-3 weeks.

Indoor Flower Update

Hey everyone! So it's about week 8 in the flower tent and for the most part things seem to be going pretty well. Sorry about not updating as frequently with this specific tent grow. I ended up getting my drip manifold set up a while ago. So far it's been working quite well and it definitely saves me some manual labor indeed. I haven't run into any clogging issues yet so all is well in that department. Here's what I have been feeding them as of late.

Feeding(10/9/10)
250ppm cal mag
15ml PBP bloom(soil/coco)less N
5ml Silica Blast
8ml Bud candy
15ml Trinity
1ml Humic Acid 18
PH 5.9
PPM: 950(1.9EC)

PH 5.9
PPM: 950(1.9EC)

Feeding(10/18/10)

PH 5.9
PPM: 950(1.9EC)

Feeding(10/22/10)
250ppm cal mag
7.5ml PBP bloom(soil/coco)less N
5ml Silica Blast
8ml Bud candy
15ml Trinity
1ml Humic Acid 18
PH 5.9
PPM: 550(1.1EC)

Feeding(10/26/10)

5ml Silica Blast
8ml Bud candy
15ml Trinity
1ml Humic Acid 18
PH 5.9
PPM: 550(1.1EC)

Feeding(10/30/10)
5ml mollases
10ml hygrozyme

So I've started the flush. Probably a good time considering I actually started to burn them with that 1.9EC. That is a sign in my opinion that the light intensity of this 600w 3k PSMH is not on par with that of my 600w Hortilux Super HPS. Hence the light intensity isn't strong enough to warrant a 1.9EC supply of nutrients. Somewhat disappointing in my opinion but that's what experiments are for right! Unfortunately I have not rectified my unruly canopy and I have to admit that things are looking quite sloppy right now. I apologize for that. I'm hoping that after this harvest you will never have to see pictures like this again. In fact it's kind of embarrassing as my canopy control in the past was far stronger. Fear not comrades. Next grow will have a trellis so no more leaning branches!

Here are some pictures for ya.

Canopy shots

http://i1014.invalid.com/albums/af261/fatyfatkins/IMG_1766.jpg

So as you can see I'm not up at top performance this time around. It's sad to say but true. I'm not saying I have any excuses that justify the unruly canopy or anything like that. I have become too lax and I need to whip myself back into gear. On the plus side the nug quality still seems to be pretty awesome, and some of them are even turning purple because of the cooler temps especially since that 3k PSMH runs a bit cooler then your average 600w. In fact it's almost too cool for these colder months hehe. I'm actually considering upping to a 1000w for the winter months. I beleive that should help in the resin production department witch would in turn increase flavor and aroma. Any comments or questions are more then welcome guys! Also If anybody has any tricks or tips with drip systems let me know!

Sup brah! Ahhh I must say that I'm envious of your past round in the tent where you killed it with the monocrop and perfect canopy... :itwasntme Running multiple strains off the same res is definitely an experience and art IMHO; it requires the ability to adapt based on your knowledge of each strains needs and growth characteristics. I'm sure that you will do much better on your next round regardless as you clearly have a green thumb and the ability to take detailed notes while learning from your mistakes. Ultimately, timing becomes to most critical aspect to adapt when things don't go as planned... :cool

Sup shady! Ya dude I will admit that I am also wishing my canopy looked like the past round. Fear not though I should be able to regulate this tent back to an acceptable running level. Ya running different strains at the same time is indeed always a bit more challenging. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Correct timing is indeed crucial my friend.

I have certainly learned a few different things from this round guys.

1. ALWAYS support your plants
2. Be cautious when using a new medium or if you change its properties. It may hold on to more or less nutrients(and water!) then you think because you aren't use to it.
3. Constant Vigilance! I am sure some would say it's common sense and to a certain degree it is, but remember if you get to comfortable in your ways one starts to become lax, and that may result in a blunder or two.

Hey guys so I have some harvest stats to lay down for you and a few pictures of some curing nuggets. Well first things first.

:harvest: = Bracket Champion
Branches taken at harvest
Head Band = 402.3(14.47oz)
Chem Dawg = 378.7(13.53oz)
Casey Jones = 485.2(17.33oz):harvest:

Branches that fell before harvest
Head Band = 70.8(2.53oz):harvest:
Chem Dawg = 23.8(.85oz)
Casey Jones = 70(2.5oz)

Average per plant(6 plants total)
Head Band = 236.55(8.45oz)
Chem Dawg = 201.25(7.19)
Casey Jones = 277.6(9.91oz)

Total: 1430.8g(51.1oz)(3.19lb):harvest:

To be totally honest I'm still in awe. I mean I just did not expect to yield this much! I really underestimated no doubt. I thought I was going to get about half as much as I did. I'm going to have good smoke for a looooooooong time now. I can't wait to make some bubble too. I'll be sure to post pictures when i do. For now here are a few nug shots and for the hell of it....
