Keeping Plants Small?

I was wondering if any one keeps plants in small smart pots, or small DWC reservoirs to almost suspend there size till your ready to move/make them bigger or to flower them? I was thinking I would like to keep a few on stand by, not taking up much room in my veg tent.

I know a clone can sit in a solo cup for months

did one for a year. looked like a centipede. op they just eventually put nodes on top of nodes. i don't have a pic handy but eventually you have to bonsai it a bit or it becomes so bushy the inside droops and it matters because the inside is half of the nodes lol.
