So I'm switching to this brand of worm castings called wormgold that is 3% fossilized kelp. On there website it says its added to supplement magnesium. I want to know if this also supplements K like Kelp meal does or if fossilzed kelp is a different thing all together. Does anyone know anything about fossilized kelp, does it have any K in it? thanks in advance

I use Neptunes Organic 1-0-2 Kelp Meal...I found it for 26 bucks for 5 pounds. I think I added intitially because I read an arcticle about a myth named L_C and an Organic mix...I dont use Subcool's exact recipe and stray from the base alot so I add the kelp.

I know nothing about fossilized kelp, and I would imagine that, because it's fossilized, it does provide minerals. I couldn't tell you what, though. On first examination it would appear to be a rather different beast from kelp meal made from living kelps.

KelZyme?

Hi miser66, it's calcified kelp left over from an ancient seabed; supplements calcium. As seamaiden said a "different beast" then kelp meal.
