Undershots and check in before I go lights out. Haha! I didn't water tonight because they were still pretty damp from the flushing this morning. I may have missed the mark, but in the human world, flushing out all at once, in one day, normally doesn't translate well with recovery. I will flush in the morning and see how things go. By tomorrow night, should be time for another feed, I would think. I will try this ppm meter thing tomorrow. If someone can please tell me, do I dump all the powders in, one by one at one time? Or Opt. 2: water, powder, calibrate, dump water, rinse, start over?

Hey k , thanks for the pic , things look completely different to me now , the sides look almost ready for cloning...
Wait for oldskool to help you with the meter , its been a while since i picked mine up , as lately ive been only growing outdoors with compost and rarely check my ph....
P.S. dont drown the plants,
Also keep in mind i dont grow in coco , so again i would lean towards oldskol in that dept....

Plants are looking excellent....

Are those roots coming out of your grow bag ?
That makes me a little nervous , never used that type of container...
I guess they " air prune" but my instinct would be to put them into even larger pots if the root growth is so agressive during this veg stage....
Did you say they are 5 gal ?
I see 5 gal is plenty big....
Go for it...

What kind of ppm meter did you get?

Can you take a pic of it?

Also your deficient in nitrogen and what looks to be early stages of magnesium, yellow tiger striped leaves is usually 9/10 magnesium, if you are growing in coco then you need to ALWAYS be feeding in between 5.8-6.2 PH, even if your coming out high for run off it doesnt matter, you still feed in at 6.0-6.2.

Use this as a guide for future reference on deficiencies!

Once you get your ppm meter working make up your nutrients how you usually make it up PH to 6.0, then check with PPM meter... Your run off should never be higher then about 300-400ppm what you are feeding in! Use your standard feed as a template.

If your run off PPMs are over 300-400 ppms what you are feeding in then you are feeding them too much, they can only consume so much ppm worth of food when they are young!

No, they are 1 gallon and @oldskol4evr suggested I keep them in that, as it makes it easy for controls (for beginners) and they are self-pruning? I think? He also hasn't seen the updated undershots.

Thank you so much. I will print this out, put it in a sleeve and post it to my wall. I appreciate that very much.

Are they in one gal pots now ? That would be a good thing , i would be surprised if they were throwing roots out of a 5 gal pot at this early time....

Also, stand by on meter type. I've turned in for the night, smoked up, and am completely snugged in with my dogs. Long story short, I'm not moving. Hahaha!

Hope it helps! I pass them out to new growers all the time at my store! Its great to have on hand cause you can usually catch problems early on.

I've been slow updating here the last couple of days. Finished my first cannabis tincture!! It tastes awful and is definitely not to be tried sublingually.

@oldskol4evr @dire wolf
These are yesterday's pictures. I will update with today's in a while. Yesterday's water: Incoming water (mix w/ Calmag & Coco 1&2) 7.3 pH, outgoing 6.

I know we all need and love the ppm, but can you believe I don't know where the hell I placed that thing? I am going to look for it now. Will update later.

@THCMonster , I do appreciate the diagram. The tiger striping is moving out.

Was a little late greeting the babies this morning. I have noticed the height difference and felt there wasn't enough air flow going through, so I split everyone up onto two tables. I actually did my "morning" meditation with them, then smoked. Then promptly forgot to write down my measurements. I guess I will get through this some kind of way, but I do need to tighten up controls. I'm getting better at refilling water and such. Everyone seems happy for now. I will check on them again in a few hours, then I'm going to bump everyone out and clean/dry everything down. (In case you worry, I'm not using cleaners)

It's been a strange few days of weird of emotional energy for all concerned, so I hope all of y'all are having good day! ✌

They look a lot better! See how the leaves are up pointing to the light! That mean they are happy and watered good! You want to always see that! That actually how you can tell when to water your plants! They will go from being up when happy, then straight across when fine, and down or drooping when sad! Lol
As long as they never get browning leaves or burn then leaves and your plants will always tend to bounce back!

Its good that the run off is 6.0ph

But just be careful watering in that high of a ph continuously, you will eventually cause more issues later on, but as long as the run off is coming out ideal then no worries!

Try to shoot for 6.1-6.2 run off though. Use this image also as a guide for nutrient uptake and PH scalebluelab-grow-book-english-13-jpg.938338/" class="bbImage " width="1032" height="1200" layout="intrinsic" alt="Bluelab Grow Book English 13">as you can see from the PH scale as the water (being your run off) becomes more acidic then Calcium and Magnesium taper down on the ability for your plant to viably uptake it

6.2 is Ideal run off for COCO, some people say 6.0, its which ever.

Another option you can do for future coco grows is mix in about 1 tablespoon of Dolomite Lime per gallon of coco and 1 Tablespoon of sulfur per gallon of coco, and this creates a natural PH buffer, as well as you will get cal-mag naturally from the LIME.

I learned that wonderful trick years ago and havent had to use CAL-MAG ever since!

Completely optional though!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much. Another chart to add to the wall. I was pondering the lime, never read up on sulfur, but I know @oldskol4evr had mentioned it before.

@basscaptain The best thing about that contest they are running is the members here vote who wins it....Hopefully there's enough pull for her to win it. She already has my vote. I entered too but that's just in case. I don't plan on using the light so I am gifting it away too.
