I am going to clone from these today and then put them into flower. As you can see, they got a little tall and lanky because I have been afraid to top them. I don't know if topping will stress them out too much.......they are from seed and I don't know what sex they are yet.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Growing from seeds is so nerve wracking for me, I just hope I get something fabulous out of these so I can just clone from now on:confused:

I usually wont start toppping until the seedlings are sexed. The preflowers usually start on the tops so topping before will only prolong preflowers to show, IME. These look like they should be showing preflowers any second. i wouldnt use the apical stem for a clone. Choose a lower side branch that isnt so thick and holds more of the good rooting hormones.

Thanks for the reply. I do usually clone from the lower sides, so I'll toss them into the flower room afterwards and see what happens.

You havnt spotted any preflowers and your just gonna flower them?

Well I'm not much of an expert when it comes to seeds so I'm not really sure about preflowers. This is what the tops look like right now, sorry couldn't get it focused in enough. bstilwell......they will go into 5 gals pails.

Pre flowers are pretty self explanatory. Females show first, IME, a mini calyx and mini white hairs Hiden somewhere on the top 1/4 of the plant. A male will have a little fist coming out where a node meets a branch, these sometimes you find towards the bottom of the plant. Google images should help too. Good luck, you got some serious fire there!

So I cloned back when I started this thread but didn't flower the adults till this Sat. (Mar. 16) I had kept an eye on everything, had a pretty good idea which were female, confirmed the last couple of days. Very odd, #1 and #2 of all three plants were female, #3 and #4, all males. So here they are in my bedroom closet under a 250 watt bulb. There's a wonky one in the shot, as you can see. They were transplanted a couple of days ago. Some Sevin powder on top of dirt cause I'm seeing some little flies.

My only issue now is that I have to transplant the parents, really hoping that doesn't cause issues seeing as they are in flower. Just the waiting game now, hope I love all 3 of them!
