Has anyone ever tried this brand of potting soil before?

I went to my local gardening center and they swear by this stuff. Doubtful they actually use it, because of the cost multiplied by the size of their establishment. It costs the same as Foxfarm, and has less yummy stuff, but would save me an hour car ride to the grow supply store. Sorry, just wanting some opinions, if there are any.. Thanks!

its up to you, if it has less beneficials and cost the same then it would be an easy decision. I like taking road trips and an hour is not far especially if you blaze on the way, lol. You might end up having to treck to the grow shop anyway for supplementation of other nutrients not included in lady bug brand. just my .2

it's great stuff. I think it's pretty close to FFoF, maybe a little less hot. Buy local. Keep Austin Stoned...i mean weird. If you are close to austin there are a few places that carry FF too.

Thanks. I'm actually in the Houston / Galveston area, so ATX is out of the question. I might just try a bag and see how it does. I usually stick w/ FF Original with earthworm castings and such. Around here, there's not too many choices of good dirt unless you make the trek to the grow store. If you dare go to Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowe's, things are slim. Either crappy Hyponex with over 40% of it's weight in rocks/sticks/large bark, or crap MG. We shall see. I'll grab one today and I'll report back on it in case anyone else has the chance to come across this brand and is interested.

What up suprmidget!! Yeah, the Ladybug is average-decent soil. If you want to grow in soil. I would not use it for herb.

I would go to H.D. or Lowe's and grab a large bale of ProMix, which is a soilless mix similar to Sunshine Mix. You should be able to find promix and sunshine mix at most nurseries, too. If you can get Sunshine Mix, get it, especially Sunshine Mix#4!!! You will get much more medium with the larger bales than some shitty bags of soil. Growing in a soilless medium, especially Sunshine Mix#4, is very similar to hydro. In fact, I think it is called agro-ponics. The medium is very light weight, has lime and wetting agent added to it already. It will work wonders for you!!!! If you do use Ladybug, go buy some perlite and add a lot to the LadyBug soil.

I know that texashydroponics.com is a large supplier here in Tx. They have local stores. They ship most items free and they are a great resource. They even have a place in Houston.

Freaking awesome. I shall try this other shop out. Not too keen on getting anything shipped, even tho I get beans & clones via mail. Anyhow...I am a huge fan of the Sunshine 4. I used it for several years, but haven't seen it in the last two or so. When I look lost whilst searching the stores, I always get the no knowledge employees that try and push MG. HA. "MG is the best product line on the market IMO, and I run a landscaping business on the side." I actually got this line at Lowe's. Funny Stuff.

if u cant find the promix go with coco coir. The next best thing to hydro and using organic nutes is a breeze in the stuff. I use a combo of promix and coco and use Blue mountain organics super plant tonic and their whole lineup is amazing, and no i dont work for them lol. (ebay only) super cheap and WOW!!! Dont be paranoid about mail ordering the legal stuff silly. haha. But seriously if u haven't tried coco coir, u r missing out on some serious bud porn!!! good luck
