The grow community is really touchy about the vocabulary. Flushing is for soil-less and diluting is for soil but they're the same thing with the same goal, remove or reduce EC.

There should be no need to flush anything if you're feeding your plant correctly. At the end there's a low nutrient demand so you're feeding them low nutrients. So at that point what the heck are you flushing... or what do you THINK you're flushing? The last 24 hours in coco should run water only, that's the closest thing to pre harvest "flush" that even makes any sense to me.

For the reason you mention you do what you do, I'd suggest trying stem split or stem flow restriction... or even the most extreme version of it... Fully cut the plant stalk just above the soil, drop it up with a stake an keep it in the tent with the light on a few extra days. Some life processes will continue including resin production, and it will use the remaining nutes in the stem system to do it.

Flushing isn't without merit in all situations, but there's other means to achieve the same result.

I was really talking about soil.
Coir is a different beast.
Back in the day it was badly advised to flush when you had an excess nutrient build up.
I never saw a single post about flushing salt build ups back then.
Obviously it’s a good thing if you do have a salt build ups.

Really I was getting at the difference in how it’s used or misused nowadays causing confusion.

It’s simply the original use of the word flushing was to use 3 x the amount of water compared to pot size very different to withholding water.

Witch is honestly is a preference.

At @Phyto when I said weed that’s feed up till harvest day gave me a headache well it does however that could be due to some of my strange disabilities side affects ( some would have you scratching your head ) so it’s just my personal preference

Never ever would i say bad things about how you like to grow ; heck we’re not robots

I seriously hope I didn’t come across as not meant as I know I have a bad habit of posting in a way that makes people feel like I saying something that I really am not.

Guess am a face to face person 🙂

What about this 🤔 saying of , feeding low dose nutes of about 300 ppm to harvest, because? thats about how much they will eat to ur runoff.
