Anyone have any experience with the edges of the leaves pointing up like this? It is mostly on the leaves on top of the plant. Is that from having to little or to much light? Light about 22 inches from canopy and at 75% which is in range of the recommendations. Strain is unknown. Humidity is set 60% and temp stays around 75 Fahrenheit. I did buy a ppfd meter that is reading around 600 at the canopy as well.

Normally the curled up edges on the upper leaves is a response to too much light, try raising the light 4-6 inches. Some plants are a bit more sensitive than others. Otherwise the plants look real good.

I'm assuming the light recommendations you are referring to were read in the manual?
That is the first mistake. The first thing to do to correct it, throw out the manual lol.
Have only seen 2 manuals ever produced that actually show good recommendations.

You don't need a lot of light in veg or while the plant is transitioning, stretching, etc.

In veg I run my lights at 30" above canopy at 30%-40%, when the plants grow within 24", I move back up to 30".

Flower - run at veg settings for the first few weeks of transition, slowly raise intensity each week after. Let the light run the hardest in middle of flower and start decreasing again toward harvest.

I've recently started putting my lights at the top of the tent and just increase or decrease intensity throughout the grow. Saves from have to move the light up and down so much.

Apppreciate the feed back. I'll definitely raise the lights and dial it back a bit and see how that does. For the most part do you stay around the same height and intensity for anything or is it based on strain? Type of light would matter as well?

just my 2 cents but… low humidity, combined with the light being too intense, very common for me, my rh is 30 and I don’t run humidifiers

My serrations are always tipped up through veg and early flower until the plant packs on enough foliage and flowers until itself raises the humidity in the tent

I am like @Newty i prefer light at top of tent and adjust by power as plant grows into the light, let the plant decide it’s happy spot

And I also agree, light manuals are great kindling for bondfires

Type of light will matter, I'm talking specifically for LED.

Different strains will handle different amounts of light but how much will also depend on environment, nutes, etc

In veg, I stay at the same settings no matter the strain. I don't see light issues in any strain I've grown following those settings.

Flowering though, I still like to keep the light away from my buds. Plus the further the light is, the more area the light will cover.
Height of grow space, height of plants when flipping, and how much they stretch will determine how far away you can keep the lights.

Strain definitely effects how much light they can take in flower, I've had my light intensity as high as 100% to as low as 60% in the middle of flower.
That's why I say leave at veg settings the first few weeks and then slowly raise 10%-20% each week, this way if you see light stress at 80% but didn't at 70% then you know your plant can handle 70%.
If you just go from like 40% to 80%, light stress will come on quicker and you will still have to play around with intensity to find the right spot.
Cycling intensity also gives better plant response and save some $ on the electric bill.

ok, all that makes sense. Well, this is a mystery seed i planted and my first time, so I definitely got some room to play around a bit. Got some feminized seeds ready to go once i see what happens with this one. One last question. someone i talked to said i could just swap to 12/12, just to find out if its a female or not and if it is i can switch back. Is that a common practice with non feminized seeds?

I've never personally done that but there's sex indicators even during veg, check out this article...
