I staked of my leaning branches and honestly not sure if it will help or hurt. This is my first time ever giving it a go. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income and dispensary prices in Ohio are to high for my liking hence the reason for trying to grow my own. I am also trying to learning when it will be time to cut and dry out. This is what my plant looks like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plant looks good, if the branches are falling over then a stake cant hurt imo!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm also a veteran.

I stake mine when they need it. I run the stakes down the sides of the pot to avoid harming the roots. I usually use four stakes and tie the branches to them. Sometimes, I just run support ties from opposing branches to the main stem. It depends on how the plant grew.

As for cutting and drying, you still have some time left before you'll be doing that. There is more than one way to go about it. Many growers hang the whole plant upside down for at least a week and usually longer. We have a drying tent with a rack inside it. We cut the branches and put them on the rack. Here's a picture of it. A Green Gelato Auto has been drying in it for 8 days. It was a potent plant but low yield.

Thank you for your service. That's a cool drying tent. I will eventually get one. This was my trial run to see if I actually can do it. Considering it's all been done outside I feel it has been a decent job. I just don't know much about the process. No matter how much I read or ask for advice my information retention lacks. Where are you located? Next spring I plan on doing the max amount per person in Ohio. I will keep it outside until I have my own property in order to bring it inside. I do appreciate the time you took to write and let me know.

Your plant looks good. You should have a nice crop. It takes a few grows to get good at it, and even then, the learning continues. I used to grow outside but took it indoors about five years ago. I have three tents now. One is in flower and the other two are waiting to start new plants. I use one for vegging photos and the other for autos start to finish.

Thank you for replying
Np. I hope your dope comes out great 👌🔥

Also, come to Michigan, we got a whole of a lot better dispensary prices. Like they give weed away here at least, in Ann Arbor 😂

I love seeing all the vets growing pot, and I hope you’re doing well 🤞🏻love the vets, hate the military and gov’t is what I go by. Excited to see your harvest!!!

Always wanted to go to Michigan never been. One day. Exspecially living in Ohio not far at all. I grew up j Massachusetts so the Midwest was definitely different. And I am doing fine thank you for asking. I just bought my trimmers today lol. If trimming pot is like lining my beard up with a straight razor then I will be a pro right away lol.
