Hey guys!
Just got a 30x loupe wit a built in white LED.
Haven't tested it with the HPS's turned off. With HPS's on, the hue goes into the blue spectrum. Looks great and is easier to use than my hand held microscope thingie...
My question is, and I wondered about this for a long time, what's the best light source to check your trichomes with a magnifier/loupe? Yeah, yeah, I know...the sun.... not possible. :D
Anything else that would come close? I have incandecents, (red), a cfl (best spectrum? I guess around 5200K is closest to sun light?) and a Hydrofarm T5 mini fluoro.
I'm not asking what LOOKS best, (The LED looks awesome cause it's right on top) I'm trying to find out what's the best light to accurately determine trichome color.
Thanks a lot!
PS: A flower that needs checking :)
