WHT should I run in a 2x4x6? For veg and flower? Watts and veg light recommendations needed!!!!! If it’s 30-40 w per sqft would I need a 300 w light in a 2x4? Since a 600w is good for 4x4, and 1000w for 6x6?

It will cover 4sqft. But I like a little extra. Same with the 100w hlg. yes you could use only 2 lights in a 2x4, but that 3rd light makes bigger buds. I used to run 2 150w hps with a 100w mh in the middle.

Okay. I have a 2x 150w LEDs running in my 2x4 tent and have them up12” above the seedlings. They were at 6”. The 2 that haven’t popped thru are still @ 6”. Does this look like it’s too much?

If you can get your pots up off tent floor creat an air gap under them warmer dryer roots aids in plant 🌱 health . Od ... but your looking good n clean in there love the square pots .

They look decent for now, but Ik seedlings usually only need like 15-20w per sqft I’m just not sure about how high the lights are tho at that point?

They’re only 5 days old too! In 14-21 days they should be ready for the 1 gal pot and become mothers! Appreciate the feedback, so you don’t think it’s too much lighting? And how far should I keep the lights from them during the seedling stage @150w? How would you suggest raising them since they’re so small right now?

Is that 300 true watts or just what the lying Chinese maker calls 150w and really draws 45w from the wall?

LMFAOOOOOOO that’s exactly what it is.... 150w pulling 45 from the wall! 😂😂😂😂😂so I keep hearing “how much it draws from the wall. So a true “645 or 1000w gavita” pulls how much from the wall then? I want to know for reference!

Why do you suggest for lighting?

IMO nothing beats cfl for seedlings.

I’m gonna have to look into these lower wattage lights for sure. Need better than burple light in this day🤣. So any other info about true wattage and pulling from the wall wattage? I wanna get a better understanding on that. I definitely keep seeing/hearing about the “true watts” pulled from the wall vs what the light says it is.

Same thing? 300w over 2x4? I thought you needed 2x the amount in LED bc it doesn’t give off the same light distribution vs an HID

Just like the car audio amplifiers......it says 1300. Yeah fuckin peak is 1300..rms is 500? Lol

True Watts-

Most LED makers rate the wattage of the LED instead of the driver.

Example - if there are 10 watt led's used in the light fixture, and there is 150 of the 10 watt LED's, then 10 X 150 = 1500 Watts, so they say its a 1500watt light. In reality, the "DRIVER" in the light fixture only pushes out 100watts......And not 1500 watts.

So the "True Watts" is 100 Watts......the amount of power the light actually pulls from the wall.
