DOC BUDS'S HIGH BRIX BLEND


Bud Washing
We wash everything else we consume, don't we?

HOW WE DO IT
  1. Take 3 clean 5-gallon buckets and fill them with Reverse Osmosis (RO) water. If RO not available, use filtered water.

  2. Dissolve 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup Lemon Juice and 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup Baking Soda into the 1st bucket.

  3. Gently dip, swish, and swirl your freshly cut colas into Bucket 1, then rinse them off in buckets 2, then 3. Be careful not to smash them into the sides or bottoms of the buckets.

  4. Drip dry, and cure as normal.

I am in the high Sierra Nevada Desert. Dust all over the place..Plus who knows what else..bird do, insect do, anything that the buds can attract..never tried it, but I will shortly (a small sample to compare before I do the whole crop.

Did this, but with H2O2, on my outdoor last year, all sorts of shit (literally) came off them. Very little resin, smell or other loss during the wash, will be doing again with this years crop.

I feel like you have to wash outdoor, hell, even indoor would benefit from any dust. What ratio of h202 do you use?

I was skeptical too, but when I saw the crap that came off a buddies..buds..changed my mind fast..The air in the high Sierra is at least if not more clean than anywhere I have been to..Inc VT etc..(nice as it is).

1 cup 3% H2O2 per 5 gal H2O. I’ve only got one harvest under my belt, but know weed well and there was no difference in appearance or potency after the wash. Rinsed all of 2 lb harvest from last fall, some of which I still have and is still beautiful.

I am not washing 15-20 lbs lol nope never have

Those flowers look great bro! Don’t forget to destem some of those large colas before you jar them... too much stem def messes with the final product smell imo
