Strange things can happen when you push an annual a lot longer than it is used to! I’ve seen a lot of people try, but never with good results! I hope you score! Mother nature seems to have something to say about that!

Went over the Mackinac Bridge when I was a kid! You can see right down through it! A lot of people with fear of heights can’t drive over it! So I think they have drivers there that will drive your vehicle across for you! L O L! Just checked! I guess you can’t see down through it! But they do have drivers! Two people have went over the side in cars! One guy went over in a bronco and determined to be suicide! And a chick was speeding and lost control and went over the side! She was driving a Yugo! Ha, ha, ha ha!
True stories

I locked on to a northern Ontario strain that was said to take colder climates far in the north like champions. Along with that they finish before the "early" north frost hits. And are somewhat mold resistant.

I believe they are / were called "fast pine" by a local breeder. Funny how I haven't thought of that strain in 15 or more years but recall the strain name. Reading you guy's post opened up a door in my long term memory. And a little bit of help from "a friend".

I'm gona have to search that one out to see how it went. After I finish what I started here. The only part that remains vague is I can't recall if the seed bank / breeder was from Northern Ontario or Northern Quebec. I never had a chance to check that one out personally but it did intrigue me at the time. Amazing how time flies :/.

I am still not sure if there in there stretch. The pace of them just took off after they took to the earth and its a bit hard to tell. Once I see the pistils start to come out in pairs I guess I'll know for sure.

Its still a tad early round here, not very much. You can almost set a watch by flowering time starting by week 2 or 3 in August. Providing the planting was no later than mid July.

Goodnight and be well.

The CN tower has a glass floor section. It messes with your senses and during the initial few steps my legs trembled a bit. A mountainous glass bridge I went over was more extreme, but I did it anyway. I'm not a fan of heights. Most of my bad dreams involve great heights. Nope, I'm not a big fan of them at all.

Things are shifting gears out there. Nice going everyone!

BTW welcome to Ontario Derel. If you compare conditions in places like Humboldt California and the green triangle, and further west along the parallel where they grow world class wine grapes over in Europe. You will see how similarly excellent weather conditions / the growing season is in S. Ontario are. Once you head north an hour-ish and onward all bets are off. The hammer drops much sooner. Even frost comes at least 2 -3 sooner.

I'm in the southern most point. Dealing with the edge of the gulf hurricane atm. Heavy rains are passing through. I get more concerned with winds. I has large plants tip and partially uproot before.

About 5 weeks in the earth, give a day or take a day. Its not hard to grow 12 foot + healthy monsters in this spot long as there in sooner.

I got 3 going outdoors right now in early flower
Super fine.

I dunno what is up with that bigger girl. The winds uprooted the tall skinny plant and I just had to make sure the rest were okay. And noticed the thick ass stem. The plants are thriving but she's been busting out best since go. I should get on the soil mixture/ top layer and quit procrastinating.

I usually get that straight around the end of vegging. Preferably within a week before stretch. No more indicators yet lol.

But I usually see stemage like it on plants when they get a little older. I'm not trying to show off lol the plants doing it ;)

I tried to capture girth from above, that spot has crappy angles.

There is a whole bunch of work to do. I'm guilty of some plant neglect if anything should be said.
