Letting soil sit out? how to keep the bugs away?

Im currently about to start making my super soil for my outdoor project this year and im wondering what the hell to do to keep the bugs out of my soil when im letting it sit for over a month to let it cool? I have heard of people getting mites, aphids, flies or some kind of insects. What should i do to prevent this happening? Any suggestions would help. Thanks guys:character0053:

Add some roots xl,or mist the top surface with a light dose of neemoil.

keep turning it, that will keep them to minimum and good for the dirt. some bugs are benefical, some, of course are not. im about ready to check locally and get a good mix going. think i'll start with a load of river soil and amend with perlite and some rabbit manure. Looks like you had a nice mix last year, what did you use????
