Light Distance With New Transplanted Clones

I have 4 Samsung f564b fixtures equal in lumens to a 500w hps each in a 5x10x7 space.

The lights are running full power without dimmers. I was under the impression that with new transplants you should have the lights far away?

Either way what's the consensus on how far to keep the lights away until they root the buckets.

Just start it high and drop it a few inches a day till your liking.... this hardens the plant.. i start mine high and take 3 to 4 days to drop it to height...dimming makes weak plants
