Hello! I’ve been having a bit of an issue getting my light dialed in. For reference , I’m running a 2.5x2.5 tent , 2 Mars Hydro TS-1000’s, 2 Mars Hydro Red 30 supplemental light bars , 1 oscillating fan , and a 4 inch exhaust fan. I have 3 plants on day 4 of flowering with include Bruce Banner , Super Boof , and Grandaddy Purple. What I can’t figure out is why I keep experiencing light stress at anything over 45% brightness. My runoff PH is 6.5 and PPM is always 100 or so over or under the input. I dimmed the light back down to 35% yesterday and the plants seem to be much happier. The picture attached was taken this morning at 35%. What I can’t figure out is the canopy PPFD at 35% is between 400-450, but isn’t that too low for the flowering stage? Any time I bring it up to 600 PPFD I start experiencing taco leaves and yellowing new growth. According to the “charts” I should be pushing past 600 PPFD at this stage correct? Unfortunately, I can’t go anywhere near that without the plants stressing out. They’re also getting fed once a week using the General Hydroponics 10 part feed chart. At this stage of flowering I’m using they’re “light feed”. Any help would appreciated! Thanks!

looking good so far,.

Take it for what it’s worth.
I veg about 300 letting the plants grow into the higher value.
Personally would ditch the red light for now. Imho it will just keep your plants stretching.
It’s good to bump ( make them stressed) when ramping up but also returning to a lower value.
Once you start getting a flower a bulb then the plants will take more 600 then a week later it could be the size of your finger , 900 .
Push when you can and dial back when they say No.
Run hard as you can till the final couple weeks slowly ramping back ( saving the terps) was what the teacher taught me.

Enjoy and good luck

What is the height of light from canopy? I cant help u on the ppfd thing i go by light height and what the plant shows praying leaves . Whats ur lights watts? and I think i don't know if the red side bars are far red which should only be used 15-30 after lights out. Otherwise your plants are nice as hell.
Edit, have u changed ur nute formula to bloom? keep the Nitrogen low

The light height is currently around 16 inches for 2 of the plants and around 14 inches for the overachiever of the group. The Red 30 Adelite light bars are deep red , which according to Mars Hydro can be used in tandem with the 2 150 watt TS-1000 lights for the duration of the 12/12 cycle. I’m following the General Hydroponics feed chart , which ups the bloom nutrients once you flip. Thank you! I’m doing everything I can to keep them looking good.
