Live Vs Sterile In Hydro

I run a continuous recirculating top feed drip in hydroton and im wondering if i tried using a live res if any of the microbes would even be able colonize and benefit? ive read bennies work best in coco but im wondering if theres benefit to using them with hydroton given the facts that i run continious drips so its almost like dwc or nft....or if i should just dose with chlorine? i use slf100 now which works well but i was thinking of trying maybe elite91 roots or xtreme gardening mycos

In my experience, microbes in hydro don't give me any noticable results. All I notice is a frothy res that stinks lol it is better suited to soil and Coco.
Even ones that I've tried to say they are intended for hydro always leave me saying "eh" that's my two cents anyway lol

Check out Rhizo Blast by botanicare instead. Or anything with kelp or seaweed. Root zones loves it.
