Very much appreciate the offer. Years ago when I first got my card I had lots of energy. I helped dozens of folks set up and walked them through a couple cycles. I was in touch with voter power for a while and dropped off full sheets of starts for free. I gave away spare equipment and time like I had it on tap. Now days I do what I can. I do have one old friend who's been helping a lot. And I am extremely thankful for that. And for his wife's patience.

Sorry for your pain. Best advice is to read everything you can find about cannabis. Marijuana botany by Robert connel Clark is probably the best piece of literature on cannabis in existence. That and start a garden of any size. Pop some seeds for fun. Get to know the ladies on any level possible. The best way to learn to grow is to do it. Do you have an existing garden that you need assistance? Hope your day is well

I meet a couple their in their 60's. They make edibles and RSO. The RSO candies seem to help my pain allot. I'm on allot of pain meds so i'm ok. My friend going to put up a green house. I told him we should use Rare Dankness and CBD Crew seeds what do you think? I think with a RSO made with these plants should make great medicine. And I should be able to kick the pain meds to the curb:) Green house this spring!

I think it's a good choice to start with some trusted genetics. I have no experience with either seed companies genes so couldn't really help you there. Lots of pros to seeds vs clones. Top of the list being no chance of bringing in bugs. Bringing in new infected cuts is usually how it starts.

Once up and growing neem oil is good stuff. I am however hoping the og bio war replaces the neem for insect control. Have always used dyna gro neem. Unfortunately it is labeled as a leaf shine and even though the ingredient list is 100% pressed neem seed oil it currently cannot be used on marijuana grown in Oregon. The state released a list with products they've deemed ok to use. Last year the health authority sent out a letter regarding pesticide use and ommp. Big bold letters "the label is the law". From that i gather that anything not listed for edible crops is a no no. I think i saw a bayer chem product on there? Because it's for fruit trees? The 250 item list of approved products did include several neem products so hopefully one of them will be close to 100% neem. I like straight neem.

Kind of funny. Years ago I finished up my daily morning shower with a rub down of the dyna gro neem. After rinsing from the soap scrub cycle i would take about one half cup of neem and go from head to toe with it. I was attempting to naturally control a fungal bacterial partnership that ordinarily requires frequent applications of very strong selenium sulfide. The selenium is nasty and I'm pretty sure my body doesn't like it. The neem had little to no effect on the fungus. I walked smooth as could be for that week. Zero inner thighialar friction.

The purple pics are a landrace afghani. She always turns a little purp but more so from cold. This cycle had a few hiccups. They almost froze a few weeks into bloom. ( heater malfunction at lights out). Not bad for a winter greenhouse run.

We're really not sure how to define this set up. If it were indoor it would be pimp. It's got it all, ac, co2, dehumidifiers, heaters, 24000 watts. It's sealed and scrubbed.

The lights are on timers and there are blackout covers. So its basically a souped up indoor room, that gets to supplement with the best growlight around.

I'll try and post some more pics if I have time tonight. Some of the flowers are the most unique looking I've ever seen. Foxtales the size and length of my index finger.

I am trying to not over react to the Oregon list of accepted products. After further thought and discussion I'm thinking the Dynagrow should be OK to use. I was likely over reacting a little with my initial rave. It's easy to do with something you feel strongly about.

Hope everyone's day is awesome!

Well hello again. Hope everyone is well. Have had a heck of a time lately. Was sick for the last two weeks which really set me back in the garden. So now the girls have outgrown their veg space and I'm hard at it to get at least one bloom room completed by the end of the weekend. Playing builder and farmer at the same time is not the best game plan but it's what I'm working with.

Fridays are neem treatment so tonight I'm prunning and spraying which brings up a question, does anyone else defoliate? I know it can be a controversial technique but I thought I would bring it up.

When I first began one of my mentors preached the benefits and I never would do it. Figured anything that decreased photosynthesis was bad. Finally I tried it and have never looked back. It is strain dependent. Some only allow light defoliation and some you can nearly strip naked. The benefit is being able to utilize the limited light we have to work with indoors. Outdoors the technique is mostly detrimental as the sun penetrates deep into the canopy. I only defoliate outdoors to open up the canopy for increased air circulation.

I defoliate once a week on neem night starting week one of veg. At that point it may be just one or two leaves. By week four I am removing several pounds of leaf weekly. Really helps them to produce more flower sites per square foot vs non defoliated plants. I stop by week two in bloom.

If anyone has any comments or thoughts on the subject let me know. Always good to hear feedback.

Here is a couple photos that demonstrate what I'm saying. This is holy grail Kush from DNA approx week four veg. The hg doesn't really care for all the training I've been giving her but it's what has to be done to cope with the six foot cielings. She was defoliated weekly since transplant and again today. I'll post pics in a week so you can see how she fills back out.

Hello everybody! I have been doing a side by side with biobizz and nftg and noticed a few leaves looking funky on the nectar plants. Medium is nftg#4 15 gal pots, strain is holy grail Kush, under 1k mh's, approx 3-4 weeks since transplant into the 15 gals, stems at base about as big as my thumb, they received their first feed a few days ago at the mid veg rate on their feed schedule. Adjusted ph of the nectar feed to 6.4 as recomended using Olympus up. Biobizz ph of 5.2 was not adjusted as recomended. They were doing great up untill the feed.

Nftg mix rate was:

To 10 gallons h2o
Start EC o.o
Start ph 6.4

Medusa's magic 10 ml/gal
Gaia mania 10 ml/gal
Zues juice 5 ml/gal
Herculean harvest 10 ml/gal
Athinas aminas 10 ml/gal
Demetres destiny 5 ml/gal
Aphrodite's extraction .25 ml/gal
Olympus up 20 ml total to bring ph from 5.4 to 6.4.

Final EC 1.2
Final ph 6.4

Leaf tips curled upwards on a few leaves, a little taco action and blackish almost purple blotches on large fans near meristem(s). Guessing the 1.2 ec is overly hot. Doesn't appear to be on lower older growth. They also appear to be a lighter shade of green than the biobizz plants.

Fairly certain it's something I did improperly with the nutes as the biobizz plants are not showing symptoms. The nftg is a little puzzling for me with all the different products. The feed schedule will take me some dialing in to figure out what is actually needed and what is optional for this stage or that.

We'll see what the slury says but I'm thinking a flush with the hh? If anyone knows how to properly flush with the hh please chime in! This is my first run with nftg and first time in several years since i passed up organic for mostly chem salts. Possibly the mid veg mix rate is just to hot for the Grails?

Curious as to what ec and ph other folks run the nftg at.

I'll take more pics in the morning just before lights on. Thanks again. peace love and hippie poo

On another quick note, is this the right place for these kinds of questions? Not all that tech savvy and can't seem to find a new post/thread button. Or are we supposed to keep all our activity limited to the initial introduce yourself post? Thanks a much:)

Good morning ya allllllllll:) could be better. Gonna flush these girls ASAP! Was up nearly all night and found myself at the local 24 hr taco shack at 4 am reading everything I could find. Re-read an email from scott the owner of nftg that stated the initial ec they shoot for in the #4 is 0.2 or ppm of 140-175. The initial slurry test was o.8. I fed them @ ec 1.2. Gonna flush them and shoot for closer to the initial of 0.8. And likely just mix using the four parts from the "basic" feed level. This is how they looked this morning. A little more fried than last night): Post pics when they're feeling better. Happy thoughts for now

Ready for plastic. And some grape ape cuts from a friend that i'll be nursing back to health. Been looking for a good purp cut for a while. Thanks bud, you never cease to amaze me with your willingness to help and your generous sprinklings of goodness. A lifesaver.

Busy last night. Caulked, double plastic membrane, painting the walls turned into an artsy fartsy episode (shakes head at self ). Going to be taping seams, installing timer/ballasts, hanging hoods, and routing ventillation. Paints drying. Hoping to move the girls in this evening so they have some space to move about the room. Couple pics of the progress. And some ladies just waking up from a much needed rest, they'
