Tired of trainwrecking other peoples threads? Well then, come party at the captains! Trainwreck this thread with…….trains? Anything goes here……….

Man im super stressed out now. One of my labeled fem seeds has shown as male. Either several years ago there was a mistake on labeling, or ive made a mistake putting them in the ground, or something. I got 4 plants out there that should have the potential to show male and this aint one of those...
www.thcfarmer.com

Tis a sad day, i believe i've lost (literally misplaced) my F1 lineages.

Ok, update time finally.

Ive been struggling with some pests, there some leaf burn on a couple plants from over spraying pyrethrin to combat aphid explosions from all the cloudy weather and rain.

Been thinking theyre pyrethrin immune, but more likely theres just tonds being born constantly in this weather.

I had to outrun a storm i could hear coming down the holler to get the pics taken lmao. Plants wet because we just had a storm this morning, is monsooning as im typing this post.

All plants have been topped at least once. Most have had the new replacement shoots topped as well leaving 4 main meristem shoots.

Turns out my gobnuggets were mislabeled, had at least 2 males from them so far. Peaceblasters all appear to be female so far.

Peaceblaster #1. Shes looking smaller then some others, but shes actually the most devloped by node count, ive just already done a little defoliating and pruning on her that i havent on the others yet. Eyeing as a potential future breeder.

Peaceblaster #2

Peaceblaster #3

The lone remaining "Gobnugget" Looking like it had a VERY sativa dominant pollen donor. My largest plant by a good margin in shear physical stature. Hasn't preflowered yet, but based on how it's growing i highly doubt this one is a male. Also eyeing this one HARD as a potential future breeder.

And the OJ x BB in no particular order. These are the ones that burned after the pyrethrin sprayings the most. But tbh, i mixed it stronger then i ever should have, very much on purpose. So much rain, soooo many aphids lol.

oj x bb #1

oj x bb #2, most sensitive to the spraying by far.

And the OJ x BB that started life as a true trifoliate. She has mostly reverted, but the big growth in back is still troploid at the node.

All plants just got their first full feeding of a mixture of flora micro, and compost tea's, and i raked in a bunch of fresh goat manure into the plot yesterday evening as well.

The fatter leaf in last message is a biggs. And both those girlies are still quite young yet. Cant wait to see them later in the season.

This is what they look like atm.

Biggs

Mystery Sativa. Gonna be a biggun' for a late start for sure.

Last time i grew Biggs indoors this was my result. Hopefully i can keep her PM free through the fall.

Im 6'4" 220+ for scale lol

This is a biggs cola, sitting next to a Peaceblaster Fast pheno cola.

Im really diggin' the way Peaceblaster #1 is growing. A lot. She branches out and devlops bud site's fantastically, and she keeps herself open and lets air and light penetrate on their own after topping.

She's not yellowing, she just gets a dash of sunset sun every evening.

The plots looking pretty happy, surround vegetation starting to grow back in as intended. Gonna be a good season :)

Peaceblaster #1. This one's gonna be super yieldy for her size i'd wager. Definitely cloning this plant. She looks and grows much like my old fast blaster pheno from this F1. She fans herself out, and she wants to be everywhere all at once, and she's making bud sites more rapidly then any other plant i have, she just has smaller leaves. Exactly what im after for a sativa to bring indoors.

Peaceblaster #2. Grows similar to #1, seems a little more Indica dominant. Will be cloning for sure

Peaceblaster #3 I dont liek the way this one wants to grow. Prob wont pull clones inside.

The "gobnugget" mystery sativa. Gonna be a really big plant. Probably wont clone for indoor growing, may breed with her to make some outdoor destined beans though.

Biggs. This is def one of the drifting phenos. A little off for sure but def still biggs. Prob wont clone this one idk yet.

OJ x BB #1. Stunted a little from the spray mixed to heavy, but bouncing back quick now. Very sensitive to sprayings, PH, and pests all. And i don't like the way it wants to grow. Wont be breeding or cloning this one.

OJ x BB #2. Def gonna be my breeder of the bunch.

OJ x BB #3. The trifoliate. Still has one branch being a weirdo. Will prob bring a clone inside, just in case she turns out extra dank or something.

And the biggs i let that friend of mine take for the season. She finally sent me a (quite blurry lol) photo. Seems to be in good health and bushing nicely as expected. Will be cloning this plant sometime in a few weeks to bring into my indoor grow. She's being fed miracle grow according to my friend. But hey it works fine as long as you dont mind funneling your money to Monsanto lol.

(The real miracle grow, as many of us know, is naturally accumulated flood plane loam :3 )

Figured it's time to give an update on the weird dense slow graboid mutant OJ x BB.

She's still dense, she's still very slow. She is indeed a female.

I haven't been updating because she's seems very slow. I've done some LST. I tried feeding her a little heavy to help her pick up the pace, she didn't care for that decision much, as the keen eyed will be able to tell.

Hope she's worth it, i gotta feelin she will be. But also i've said that before and was very wrong. Bet ill find out eventually.

Popped 4 more seeds. The 3 up top in the photo are all the same origin. A commercial grower friend of mine. The seeds were simply labeled "Tammy" I dont rememeber what the genetics are, but if from her, theyre worth it. They are 11 or 12 days old now.

Also popped a big fat bean i had labeled "Mexi skunk breedstock". It's only 4 or 5 days old. On the bottom left. It's going to quickly pass up the other 3 im sure.

Hoping for a solid male plant so i can make a few seeds on some lower branches of my outdoor girls. Hoping i get that with the mexi-skunk seed. And if it's female, well, i guess ill have another generation of Peacblaster F1 Fems this fall, and hopefully i have a nice looking male out of my three Tammy beans.

im going to keep them at 18/6. And once they preflower, any males im going to go plant in the shade by a creek, downwind from my outdoor plants to shock them into thinking its fall so i can collect and preserve some pollen before any risks of pollenating my outdoor girls.

My little graboid plant, will probably become a mother to some clones, and be my first round of plants flowering in DWC. I plan on ordering the tent, pump, and extra lights and equipment next pay cycle.

Current closet will be for clone moms in soil in slow veg at that point. Tent will be to veg 4 plants for a few weeks then flip to flower. By then itll be fall, and ill be harvesting my outdoor girls somewhere in the months surrounding my first DWC pull. After that ill prob just be growing one plant at a time to get to know the clones from my outdoor girls better, after having decided which clones from my outdoor plants ill be keeping around.

Plants are going to get bigger this season then i expected. No complaints there at all.

Also, i've pulled an @cpurola and ive put out MORE PLANTS!!!! Tiny one's though. Just to test the phenos and decide if i want to clone them or not. Wont be topping them or training them, just letting them grow all natural to the fall. And because i have had a couple care packages show up to refill my seed stocks

I put out my 3 little "Tammy" plants. The mexi skunk. And Peaceblaster #4

The Plot (not even all of it now)

Peaceblaster #1

Peaceblaster #2

Peaceblaster #3

And now, Peaceblaster #4 makes her appearance on the plot.

The Mystery sativa "Gobnugget" Def gonna be the biggest plant for sure. 100%

My Biggs We'll see how she does, i made a dumb decision where i planted her. She's only getting about 2 hrs direct a day, and she's stretching a bit more then she should be.

My friend's Biggs. Looking a bit more like it should, getting about 6 hrs direct a day.

OJ x BB #1

I havent talked much about it, because im not sure how authentic it is and i only had 1 seed.

But my mexi skunk was a lone seed ive had for several years, got it from Tammy too. Is supposedly a cross of afghani land race pollen, to a mexican red hair sativa land race female. Essentially, the same cross as the original skunks back in the day. The original skunks were the mexican and afghani crosses IIRC. There were a lot of people wanting those beans, and was only a single branch hit, so most of us only got a single seed lmao. Fingers crossed for a male tbh.

I almost popped this seed several times 5 or 6 years ago, but never did.

Looking good! Will love to see results. Only concern is airflow and mold risk.

Im not too attached to the tammy plants, they do seem to be fairly indica already though. We'll see. Indicas can def be a little sketchy here. Was hoping for sativa doms to find a beefy vigorous male plant before fall. My hopes there now fall on the mexi skunk.

I wont be leaving them completely untouched, i just wont be topping or training them. Ill def keep em defoliated as i need to. And its about to get HOT here. I dont think they're going to get super big either, i have the tammy's planted where theyll only get sun from about 9am to 130 or so. I didn't put nearly as much work into their or the mexi skunk's root zones. That mexi skunk may get topped, it's probably still going to get pretty big through the heat even in the crappy soil of the crest of a hill. I did fully loam up the PB #4 though. Im curious how itll grow un topped.

I have been told and read sativas grow here like they will in Mendocino, and i believe it now. Wish i was a sativa fan growing up growing here, i avoided them like the plague back then. Kid trying to grow kush in a rainforest lmao.

Honestly the sativas are growing so vigerously i dont even mind the bugs anymore either, they cant keep up with them. Ill prob be getting some big bushy clones out June 1st next year to see how big a plant i can really get here.

Those more indica looking peaceblaster phenos are not going to be that indica looking come flower either, can almost promise that. They have all tended to look more indica dominant in veg then they actually are come flower. They have all been kinda remarkably good at opening themselves up without needing much if any LST or super cropping as well, or really any training or defoliating at all really. It's honestly my favorite consistent traits of my peaceblaster genepool. My current pb 3 seems to be the only peaceblaster grown by anyone to date that doesnt want to "self lst" lmao.

My PB 1 is a champion at it. And she stacks nodes and bud-sites fast, while keeping her foliage small. I probably wont even have to do any defoliation with her, wont have to die any of her limbs down, wont have to do anything but toss a net over her right before she goes into flower, and then give her stalk some solid support. When i look at her through the day, theres no part of that plant that isnt getting sun and she seems to be bending her branches around to make sure of that on purpose. Some plants will absolutely do that for you. It's getting pretty uncommon these days though. I blame inbreeding.

The peaceblaster gene pool is repeated F1 crosses, phenos chosen specifically for their willingness to grow sideways and stay out of their own way essentially, along side how happy and smiley their high was.

The PB genepool are a bunch of true, through and through Mutts. People never want the puppies, but that's absolutely 100% how you get the best dogs. Health, and happiness wise. People act like never getting the same plant twice is a bad thing, but it's not.

While its on the mind, here's a peaceblaster a friend of mine popped and has flowering rn. Super soil just add water mix. Label says GC hybrid because when he labeled it, all he could remember was that it had my old gorilla cookies in its lineage. The blurred part is my name. And it's a very unique and different spelling. So im not sharing it lmao.

only topped 2x no training. Super soil (still being dialed in he says) just add water. Looks like he didnt even do any lolipopping lol.

This was a clone of my fast peaceblaster pheno that i dont think i ever even topped, i know i never tied it open or netted it. Never even had to yoyo any buds either, thats rare in DWC lol. This is why i like to see how a plant wants to grow sometimes. But im most concerned with that when it comes to male plants honestly. Hence letting the little one's grow un-topped and undefoliated. I wanna make some seeds this fall. Seed plants dont branch out like clones will, but you can still make some highly educated guesses after watching them flower out untopped, a little better then if you do.
