looking for some help putting vac purge together

trying to build vac purge kit .have a question. does the pump have regulator on it ,how do you set your pressure?

Most folks run their pumps wide open and settle for the pressure that they get.

You can bleed air into the intake line to raise the atmospheric pressure if it pulls too low.

so i guess my question is doing that wont brake the mason jar.and thanks for the reply

Depends on the mason jar. They aren't rated for vacuum, though the smaller ones tolerate it.

I have had good success with pints and half pints, but have seen quarts and larger implode sometimes.
