Looking to try making cannaoil in slower cooker. Iv made cannabutter but want to try oil.. But don't know how much coconut oil I wud need. If I use 6 oz of trim. I have a ratio I use for my n butter. But never done coconut oil.. Any 1 help me on this 1 ty

I use put about 8oz of oil per oz but you can probably go as much as 2 oz of trim per 8oz of oil.
Dam I use 4 250gs butter n 6 oz trim. So I can use the same ratio for oil. Aqua. That's brill. Does it stay in liquid form or go solid. Sorry if I sound dumb.. But never done oil only butter ty again m8

Yup same ratio is good. Depending on the coconut oil used. If its solid at room temp then it will be the same after infusing. I use the virgin coconut oil and yes its solid after.

FYI, you can infuse into other oils (olive, avocado, grape seed, etc.) as well. It may be slightly less potent but you can choose your oil to suit your purpose. If you want something more butter like (solid at most room temps), extra virgin coconut oil is great. If you want something that stays liquid at room temp, olive or even MCT fractionated coconut will work. Same ratios of bud/trim to oil as to butter. Just know that butter actually contains water, so you will have less finished product with butter (if you started with 1 lb. butter you typically end up with about 3/4 lb. cannabutter). So 8 oz of butter to start makes 6 oz cannabutter. 8 oz of coconut oil will yield 8 oz of infused coconut oil because none of that weight is water. I hope that makes sense and doesn’t just muddy the waters.

Yes indeed. However, if using MCT, don’t add water. Same for any liquid oil used for infusion. Since it doesn’t solidify like butter or extra virgin coconut oil, it’s more challenging to separate from water (if used) after infusing.

Npz so if I use 1L.=1000 grams. Of coconut oil MCT. And 6 oz of trim and small nuggs(runts) and cook on low in slow cooker. I shud be good. Oh is c oil more potent or is, c oil n butter same strength if using same trim.. My cookies last about 4 hour strong bit wobbly legged. Then 3 4 hours of a nice chilled buzz.. That's what iam hoping for with the oil ty again

I can’t provide links at the moment but I believe it is fairly well accepted that coconut oil is a better infuser than butter.

Ya finally got some. Lol

Happy infusing and cooking/baking!
Ty a bit excited to try tomoz.. Love baking and iv seen u can make canna sweets with oil. Better than butter. Is the dosage the same. My ratio for butter is usually 1kg butter or 4 250gs blocks to between 5 6 oz trim. Then put 250ish grams canna butter in to my cookie recipe and make between 16 18 cookies things get u happier than a pig in dirt ty for reply
