Trying the Lotus drying method for 1st time. Temp/rh way too high for air dry. 2nd day in the mini fridge and still really high rh. (above 90%). No mold or anything but definitely smells. Temp between 40-45 degrees. Is this high rh normal? I’ve read that it will start to come down, but i’m getting nervous. Any ideas?

Update: It took about 4 days for the humidity to come down. I did put a small “pro breeze” dehumidifier inside the mini fridge. I been just turning it on and off if too high, or too low. Trying to stay around 50-55%rh, with temp between 40-45 degrees. Today is the 5th day. Gonna start jarring a few buds about day 7-9 for rh readings. Anyone else trying this method? There’s just no way i can hold a 60-60 where i live. It’s way too hot, and humid. This way at least i can control it. Your rh will spike the first few days as the buds release moisture. But as they slowly dry, it will level off and come down. Hope this helps someone. I was really nervous when i was getting crazy high humidity readings, but if your temp stays under 50 degrees, there’s no risk for mold.

Any update on this curing technique? I am very interested in trying out multiple curing techniques once I harvest my current grow.

I dont know if your lotus is the same as my fridge.but when you tuen on the peltier dehumidifier inside the fridge you get 10-20% humidity daily you just have to open daily and pick up the puddles of water

how did this turn out... I'm unfortunately in the same boat and I'm at 2 weeks and its still drying...
