LovaLova First Grow Thread...Bubblegum, POG, Sensi Star

So here it is, after a disaster making the last thread IE couldn't get my camera to upload pics, couldn't figure out how to inset pics into my thread...I finally think I have all the kinks worked out, lol

I am growing a sea of green in a 3x3 Ebb and Flow set up. I have a 430W lighting up the canopy inside a 4x4 tent. For medium I am using 6" rockwool blocks on top of 6" slabs. 24-plants all together.

I am using flora nova grow/bloom as base nutes, and supplimenting them with floracious plus, liquid koolbloom, superthrive, and big bud powder from Advanced Nutrients. Day / Night temps 75-65, and the humidity stays close to 50%. Res temp varies between 68-70. PPM is 900-950, or 1.8-1.9 EC throughout the entire grow. PH is maintained at 5.6-5.8 for the duration.

These girls were not vegged at all, I flipped them the day after Christmas. These are pics of the girls 2-days into their 12/12. I will keep updates coming weekly. Hoping to get around an elbow.

looks like your trying to do everything right!!! I know tin foil usally cause more problems then it does good... Ill be watch this to see how it turns out!! good luck and may your nuggets grow fat :D

I just have the foil covering the cubes to prevent mold, I have used it before with no problems, the canopy will completely blanket the medium in the next 4-5 days anyway. Guess I am too cheap to buy coco-coir covers, lol thanks for the post!

I flood twice a day, once for 30-min right before the lights come on, and another 30 right after the lights go out. I am using GH FloraNova Grow/Bloom for base nutes, GH Floracious Plus, GH Liquid KoolBloom, Superthrive, and Big Bud powder from Advanced Nutrients as supplimental nutes. I keep my EC at 1.8-1.9 I have read a lot about Cal-Mag in many threads, interested when to add it, and at what strength. And brands.

tite little area/im not a fan of foil get some panda plastic next round if you think of it less radiant heat issues bigger buds in a cooler room.
you say you grew this before whats your average yield?

12-Days in...

Ok Gromer here is my update per yer request LOL, 12-Days into flowering, bud sites just starting to develop. The girls have started to really get hungry so I upped the PPM to 1100ish. The last pic is 1/2 of my mother room, I added it for good measure haha.

thanks brah - next update will be at day 20-21, i am gonna trim out all the undergrowth and big fans. I turn the lights to 13-11 from weeks 4-6. Prolly gonna have to up my ppm to 1300ish to keep these girls fed.

Day 17 of flowering

Thought i would give an update. The second week of flowering I had to up my EC to 2.2 the girls are really starting to feed heavy now. Looks like I will probally peak out at 2.5 before I start tapering off before the flush. You can now see the bud sites really starting to develop. My appologies for the pic qualities, I am new at photography and have to learn how to use this camera a little better.

Looking good. If you're looking for a cheap light block like what you're using foil for, get yourself some of those heavy duty outdoor black trashbags. Depending on the brand you might need to double or triple up the layers to really stop the light, but they're a cheap way to get the job done and plenty flexible.

They also don't run the risk of cooking your plants with hotspots. If you worry about the black collecting heat from the lights, top it off with a regular white kitchen bag. I've done that and it works a treat.

Have you tried the Big Bud with an all-AN nutrient line-up? It makes a difference IMO, but you're clearly doing fine with your current set up.

Yea I have tried advanced nutrients, but am kinda partial to GH hydro nutes. I have experienced many inconsitantcies with the AN lineup. I think I am going to go back to the 3-part GH. I am using floranova now, but I am experiencing having to use higher PPM's to keep my girls happy. Yea don't really have a problem with hot spots.

I am currently working on a 25-site NFT system that is mediumless and will utilize rubber inserts. My friend just gave me a 25-site aero cloner, and the system i am building is going to utilize the same inserts so they can just pop out of the cloner and right into the hydro system. I hear NFT can be tricky, but who isn't up for a challenge?

21-Day Update

Today I am in day 21 of flowering with my bubblegum, sensi star, and pot of gold trifecta. I'm really not liking the POG. Its the first time I have grown it and I think it sucks. The growth is lagging behind the bubblegum and sensi star. I love this 97 bubblegum. My next grow will be all of this strain. I can start to smell the sweetness of what I can only describe only as bazooka joe bubblegum already from the buds.

You can see I trimmed out all the undergrowth to allow for more air movement, and to concentrate growth on the development of the top buds.

Right now my PH is 5.8 and my EC is 2.6 (PPM1300)
I am feeding with flora nova bloom, liquid kool bloom, big bud powder, cal/mag, and about a capful of superthrive in my 40 gal res.

30 Day Update

Took pics when lights out to see if it would help the quality. I couldn't see shit in there. I am gonna mess around with my camera and see what I can figure out to get better pics. I upped the PH to 5.9 for maximum P-K uptake, and my PPM is still at 1300 the plants are loving life. 15-days till flush ...
