New to growing. Successfully harvested a few plants. Trying learn more.

This is a 3 rd generation clone from seed @Trustfall

Trying to keep the the tallest bud site level with all the rest. Is there a way to โ€œtwistโ€ it so it stays within the perimeter of the pot? Is that not necessary? Is there a strategy to this?

New to this appreciate any advise thanks

I have turned them around the top of the pot before, or you can let them go and continue getting longer depending on if you have space restrictions or not, either way works, really depends on what shape you personally want the plant to be when you flower her

Iโ€™ve been letting my plants grow wild and it has worked.

Working on my training .

Iโ€™m trying to achieve that plant with buds pointing straight up โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜€

I can say that I do LST but I try to top first. Indoor I top at the 5th node but outdoor I like the 7th then I start my LST. My training is a combination of different approaches depending on the situation.

I basically start early and with no mercy. You can really do what you want with them. I just stale everything down. Some pruning to accentuate new growth.

Iโ€™d appreciate it If you take two giant steps backwards, tell me how you do your clones. โœŒ๏ธ

I use a box, but I take my cuttings from the lower parts of the plant, they root waaaay easier, a bit of a longer veg time sure, but healthy roots for me everytime that way, 7-10 days. I take a cutting, after cleaning everything with 70% iso alcohol and make a 45 degree cut about 3/4 inch long, then I scrape about an inch up the bark on the high side of the cut. And clean utensils in between every cutting. Toss it in a plug and let her rip, I know some folks use cubes, the method is basically the same with those.

Thank Capt

All my latest cuts were from the top.

Great advice thanks
Itโ€™s all good, that does work, but older more hardened parts of the plant always take longer to coax rooting out of them. The way I see it, the mother plant uses the tops to keep the show going. I just control the plants height with super cropping and rigorous lst if itโ€™s a mom Iโ€™m keeping around for a while. After I usually clean out an under carriage of a plant, thatโ€™s when I start going topside, even then Iโ€™m hunting for the lowest possible cuttings.
