Choosing a medium can certainly be quite the decision with so many products on the market, and confusing marketing for some of the products. When choosing a medium it's helpful to know a few things about how you like to grow such as: how frequent you'd like to water, how strong the soil is (how much fertilizer it has in it), and whether you want to apply liquid fertilizer frequently or just plain water an amended soil mix.
Lucky Dog has significantly less perlite than Light Warrior, so adding something to increase aeration such as chunky perlite might be what you're wanting.
When using Lucky Dog, you'll definitely need to supplement with fertilizer since it doesn't have strong of amendments (like Ocean Forest.) Unlike Ocean Forest, Lucky Dog does have beneficial microbes that colonize the root zone and provide a slew of benefits. If memory serves me correctly Lucky Dog has 14 types of mycorrhizal fungi, and 5 types of beneficial bacteria.
