and i also wanna say that true ibls don't have just one pheno all being the same.there's ibl,s with few phenoes.jyst coz something's been in red over generations does NOT mean all phenoes are the exact same.it all depends on the selections been made by the person doing it.in bred line just means its been crossed to itself over generations and stabalized but there's no way all phenoes will be the exact same.similar yes the same no.
Amen to That Brotha!!!!The point of ibl’s imo is to recreate as close to the original mother as possible. That original mother no doubt is a mixture of geno and pheno types and environmental circumstances can bring any one of them out at any time. You see it often when one cut is passed around and expresses slightly different characteristics in each grow. So homogeny is the goal however it is rare ever achieved.
The only thing we can do is try and isolate the good characteristics and hope to weed out the bad in the selection processes. But to see various phenos expressed in progeny is typical and to be expected.
From it if we can find a good keeper then imo the goal has been achieved wether or not it’s true to the mother imo makes no difference.
The goal is to have something good to roll up and pass a round. And if at the end of the day we are all sitting around a campfire smoking great weed then we all win. Wether or not it’s true to it’s mother at this point is moot. But that’s my opinion.
