Welcome to my first dr.grinspoon grow.Should be interesting from the pictures I've seen.But what really made me decide to grow her was all the great things I've seen and heard regarding the relief she provides from many ailments. Also because she's %100 sativa.
I will be using a Rapid Rooter plug to sprout her in.I germed her in a cup of spring water with a tiny bit of fulvic/humic powder.Shell cracked and into the plug she went.I say 'she' because she's a femanized bean.My preference is Regular beans because I feel that something is lost genetically in the femanizing process,but i did not wanna waste time in this case on the chance of it being a male.
I will be growing in coco(Roots Organic Coco Fiber Brick)with about %30-%40 perlite.
She will get a mix of Canna Start,Bio-Root,ewc, mycos and Amino acids to start.Then in 'veg' I will switch over to House & Garden's cocos A&B two part.I like to add some ewc,Bio-Root, aminos,mycos and molasses in 3gal jug thats always bubbled with an airstone.I use other additions that I'll name as used.
In bloom I'll continue the H&G two part coco specific nutes.Along with Kool Bloom and Humboldt's Crystal Burst.Other pre-bloom boosters may be used but I like to keep it simple.
In veg i like using a 4' t5 high output fixture with Agromax pur-part veg bulbs.Very efficent,great spectrum,low heat,good for seedlings,clones and full veg...imo.I still get fast growth and great node spacing.
In bloom I love my Gavita double-ended hps pro flex 6/750.The Gavita is hung on a 6' light rail.The rail only uses 5w and gives me more coverage.Also helps hit different angels and prevents the Gavitas intensity from frying my girls.I really love the combo and outta all the fixtures I've tried,the Gavita is hands down my favorite.
I have a 3"can-fan hooked up to a flex vent that's suckling in cool air from outside.Keeps my temps perfect as well as supplying fresh air/co2.This is connected to lower portion of room.On other side of room,up high,I connecteda 6" flange with a 6" flex duct ran outside of room into a carbon filter.No fan.The pressure from the intake actually 'balloons 'my panda film walls outward.The positive pressure is enough to force air out the exhust and threw filter.The room is air tight with mylar lining the walls,panda film makes the other side of rooms walls,with a stick-on zipper for a door.
I've grown hundreds of strains throughout the years.I'm a stright.almost up strain junky,but this will be my first %100 sativa.
I hope I can provide some entertainment as well as some knowledge during this journal/journey. Feel free to ask me anything or to share any tips/tricks.
