and yes a dead brown tip or spots will never recover and will stay brown and dead lol

some spotted leaves will fully recover..some of the lowers will just go south..pluck em after recovery, when you know they're dead.

If you foliar spray and it is not too far damaged it can come back completely.

if just the tips are brown can u just cut the dead part off ??

I would recommend sterilizing your scissors with some rubbing alcohol just to be safe, especially if you've used them to cut a plant that was sick.
