Magickz First ever grow. 400w HPS Chemdogs in COCO

OK guys, I think it is time for an update.
My Chemdogs will complete their 3rd week of bloom tomorrow :D

They have stretched a bit, they are over 5ft tall now. Buds are starting to develop :) Lots of white hairs growing.

I did have a scare when I thought I saw some balls! But turns out they are some form of pre-flower. They are teardrop shaped and directly attached to the stem. Also they split and start pushing out white hairs. Pollen sacs hang off a stalk and are round shaped so it looks like im ok :D At least I have been told so, lols

Anyways, my nutes have been upped to early bloom dose. 1.7ec of Nutrifield coco nutes. Been thinking of gettin a PK booster.

[The Frost]

Hey mate looking tops. Here comes the fun part!
Plants are looking good, just starting to bow the fan leaves down and a deep dark green meaning it's right at the limit of starting to overdose. Possibly N, nutrifield is pretty high in N and some strains are a little sensitive to it.
Keep a close eye on them, if the bowing gets worse and they get start to get stunted drop the feed back to about 1.3-1.4 e.c and go from there.

I'll will keep an eye on it and bring my EC A little lower.
Anyways, I did have a mishap where a falling item broke one of the tops of my plants.
I taped her back up, and so far the bud on the branch looks ok.
Some other branches that snapped the buds and leafs were starting to die.
Any tips to make sure I don't lose the big cola? I hope she doesnt hermie.
The plant it happened to had 3 main colas so it's not so bad as long as I dont lose the rest of the plant to hermaphoditism.

:party0044:Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I added 1/2 dose (10ml) of nutrifield Alaska Pure, which is a flowering additive. Did not effect EC, though it did make it a little more resistant to PH down, also turns the water a murky brown color, lol, looks yucky haha
She is also starting to emit a dank odor, especially during lights off. Ooh wee they stink so GOOD!

 

[The Frost]

All you can really do is after taping, stake the branch so stress is not being put onto the joint at all, and should recover.
It's up to the plant if it's going to decide that's enough of a stressor to cause hermi, and also how stable the plants pedigree is. Reducing the stress as much as possible in general is only going to reduce the chances of it happening.
