Reference for leaf damage

This is a good reference to help trouble shoot as well.

Maybe remove the infected parts of the plant in attempt to stop the spreading of the virus? Hope it's ok. Good Luck.
Not effective for controlling mosaic virus. In fact, it can't even be bred out, last time I did any research on the subject I found that there are no treatments at all.

If it is really a tobacco virus I don't think there is something I can do to help the plant... at least this is what I understood from all the articles I have read these days.

The flushing and the two waterings with plain water (just pH corrected) didn't have any effect at all, so since yesterday I have moved back to my feeding schedule with the BioBizz products.

it could take a week or more of flush before you would see a difference. And if you are thinking leaves turning down and curling is a virus its not its from to much food,to much food is the worst thing you can do to a plant.just flush from now till you are done

redman420, what evidence do you have that it is not a virus? In fact the third picture seems to show classic TMV symptoms.

While I personally agree with pheno on the Dx here, I won't dismiss what desertsquirrel suggested, either, mostly because I've never experienced a Dx'd and corrected Z deficiency.

As for the mosaic virus, all you can do is watch. I've seen some weird things happen with that myself and I'm not 100% sure of anything except that it looks weird, can often make the leaves twist like that, and because of my suspicions won't use cuts from anything that expresses it. The really weird thing is that I've only seen it on cuts I've made from mothers that didn't express, I don't use tobacco, and it usually never progressed. IIRC, it was suggested to me that upping Ca/Mg ratios could lessen the presentation/expression, allow girls to finish normally.

I also still say it was never a Mg deficiency, but is a problem with P uptake. Just my opinion, of course.

The one pic does have the twisted and yellowing leaves, but if you look at the rest of the leaves the are curled down classic sign of overfeeding which can cause a lot of wierd looks. It might be TMV or it might not.

That's why I said I see more than one thing going on with those plants. Because there is more than one problem. Not terrible problems, but problems nonetheless.

soooo....... heress a few solutions to your problem because i have personally had TMV which has destroyed countless plants and i have ALSO THOUGHT I HAD TMV AND DEFEATED IT sooo.... heres some answers to your questions.

1. yellowing occurs WHEN THERE IS an instability of watering is present , high levels of toxicity in the plants, HEAT temperatures rising in water/grow rooms OVER/UNDER WATERING - which occurs when the plant photosynthesizes and intakes NUTRIENTS WHICH THEN FRY THE LEAVES or KILLS THE PLANT SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE TMV WILL ALWAYS KILL YOUR PLANT AND FRY IT THIS IS NOT TRUE AND YES THERE IS CURES/PREVENTATIVES SO DONT BE AFRAID! =) PHYSCAN 2.0 will ELIMINATE THE VIRUS from the plant it is a plant systemic and to be on the safe side i would check the salt built up in your medium if your running pebbles DID YOU WASH THEM PRIOR TO YOUR USE? or is YOUR COCO/SOIL RETAINING TO MUCH SALT now if there was ANY PEST here could lie more the severe problem.. when plants enter any form of shock sometimes it is not present until the later stages of its life thats why it is believed TMV KILLS EVERYTHING-... when you add all the elements that cause yellowing.... eliminate all the causes that would prevent it it becomes less noticeable...-the cure ? yes. to some degree

YELLOWING FROM NUTRIENTS OCCURS BECAUSE OF AN IMBALANCE OF NITROGEN POTASSIUM ZINC IRON BORON SULFUR AND MAGNESIUM - usually from a deficiency
on the other hand it can ALSO OCCUR from HIGH LEVELS OF PHOSPHORUS

IF YOUR PLANTS ARE INFECTED WITH TMV YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS PROCESSED-
SOME FORM OFF CARRIER WOULD HAVE HAD TO TOUCH THE ACTUAL PLANT ITSELF WHICH WAS INFESTED THEN TOUCH THE UNINFECTED OR IF AN INFECTED PLANT WAS NEXT TO AN UNINFECTED PLANT THE PLANTS TOUCH WOULD ALSO SPREAD THE VIRUS
THIS IS BECAUSE IT IS A VIRUSSSSS if you have APHIDS SPIDER MITES FUNGUS GNATS THERE LARVAE WHEN ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REPRODUCTION AND MUTATION SPREADS THE VIRUS FAST........

NOW THE YELLOWING FROM UR PICS DOESNT LOOK LIME WHICH WOULD RESULT FROM LIGHT BLEACHING SO MY BELIEF WOULD BE SALT BUILD UP/ALGAE/AND NUTRIENT LOCKOUT FROM THE BUILDUP CAUSING DEFIENCIES ARE YOUR STRAINS NEEDY OF EXCESSIVE NUTRIENTS ? IS THERE ALWAYS STAGNAT WATER

MY ROOM GOT CURED WITH PHYSCAN 2.0 ADDING SAND ON TOP OF MY MEDIUM, ELIMINATING ALL THE BUGS , INCREASING CAL-MG + IRON ZINC BORON DECREASING PHOSPHORUS INCREASING DRIP CLEAN AND CLEAR WATER FLUSHING AFTER IF YOUR POTS ARE HEAVY DECREASE YOUR WATERING AND INCREASE YOUR NUTRIENTS IN FEEDING.

ALSO CHECK IF YOUR NUTRIENTS ADDITIVES CONTAIN HIGH LEVELS OF PHOSPHORUS IF SO CUT IN HALF... IF YOU RE USE YOUR MEDIUM ALSO STERILIZE IF YOU DO ALL OF THIS AND YOUR PLANT SEVERES YOU WILL NEED TO ACCEPT THE FACT THE VIRUS DETERRIORATED THE GENETIC STRUCTURE CAUSING SHOCK AND SUDDEN DEATH....THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS EVENTUALLY IN THE ADVANCED STAGE I WILLL POST PICTURES OF ALL THE STATEMENTS ABOVE TOMMOROW GOODNITE.

i know this is an old thread but i had this on my ss seeds ak47 and im quite sure its not tmv or anything, just a genetic abnormality. as mine appeared on my plants early in growth and disapeared. so it definately didnt kill them or pass to anything else which is growing in contact

i agree, my first instinct was Phosphorus and Potassium. Your plant is mostly green. I would lay off the superthrive. its a good product, keep it in your tool belt. flush your plant as suggested with double the media holding capacity. ie a 2.5 gal pot flush with 5 gal. then feed it base nutrients with some seaweed or other trace elements. Epsoms are great--but it seems it wasnt balanced. ive had the same look to some of my plants. they reach for the sky a few hours later. don't let em get bone dry, that will cause lockout for sure. Also "if you feed a homeless person steak everynight, they will probably not want to eat it so much." think about that and how and when you feed your plants. try amending the company's feed chart.. if they say 8ml/gal give em what they need, not 8 everytime just because it says to. your plants will tell you what's up. later man.

ive got exactly the same strain growing from the exact same seeds. it an abnormality with the genes or the parents the seed comes from. it will disapear, this is speaking from my exact same experience. just chop the leaves off. it will disapear after a while
